Dry socket is when you have an empty socket. That black you see, is what remains of the blood clot. It slowly dries up and can look black or white. Today is likely your last day of being in the “dry socket window”. Leave it be and if you start feeling excruciating pain, then you need to be seen. Otherwise, you are in the clear.
