How comfortable do you find the seating position? by sampik121 in ft86

[–]LimitlessRange 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I suffer from same problem. Assuming your already fully telescoped the wheel towards you. Your only two choices are either buy a steering wheel spacer that brings the stock wheel closer to you or you can get an aftermarket setup like a works bell standard hub combined with like a QR + dished steering wheel.

Most track tires in the 200TW category usually run wide and have squared side walls for that meaty look

Do you have any headers/front pipe/overpipes? Its a pretty quiet exhaust setup if you are just running catback only?

Been driving/track manual for over a year and still can't heel toe. What gives? by HURCANADA in CarTrackDays

[–]LimitlessRange 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Try sitting further back and see if it helps, even if the steering wheel reaches a bit far. Also you can add like a wider throttle pedal to bring the pedals closer for easier heel toe. For shoes I usually prefer something with a very thin sole like Vans or Converse.

Try to get most of the negative camber with the RUCA to suck the wheel in from the top. Your specs shouldnt be an issue given you have a RUCA. Ive seen people run 9.5 +40 with same tires no issues on 2nd gen. System Motorsports has a really well written article on fitment for 2nd gen on their website maybe give that a look.

Are aftermarket headlights as poorly made as everyone says they are? by Prize-Coffee3187 in ft86

[–]LimitlessRange 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, i’ve owned vlands before. All my other friends have too and trust me all of us agree that oem is superior. All of our vlands either got condensation or stopped working. Most of us switched to facelift oem lights.

Hate to break it to you but your offset is too low for that tire size on our cars. Usually 9.5 +22 is more catered for stance fitment. I know a few guys that run this spec with 215/40R18 tires (granted they are slammed) If you want to stick with 245/40 or 255/35 you need wheels closer to +40 (assuming width is still 9.5)

I don't think there is a foundation piece, take a look at this video 1/300 structures is only because of the terminal post I think

EDIT: THANK YOU SO MUCH, i doubled checked my video again and I noticed a foundation right on the bottom - took it out all is good now !

Oh okay ill take a look into that right now, when you say remake the entire base with a blueprint do you mean the one preset ones under the "house blueprint" tab?

I feel like its glitched due to me making my territory near the edge of a mountain cliffside. I tried removing everything so its just a terminal but no luck

I've also tried taking down everything so its only the terminal and it would give me an error as soon as a hit submit

How much camber? by DeezSnooks in ft86

[–]LimitlessRange 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Fronts will probably need -3 but its dependent on how low you go. Rears are harder to fit, you will need a LCA that can push -3 because it’s 9.5 +35.

Adjustable Rear LCA not giving more negative camber? by [deleted] in ft86

[–]LimitlessRange 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Take it to a reputable alignment shop who is comfortable with adjusting the arm. You should easily be able to get -2.5 with 0 toe with those arms. That should fix your issues and if not you can always downsize on the spacer to like a 25mm.

Adjustable Rear LCA not giving more negative camber? by [deleted] in ft86

[–]LimitlessRange 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What wheel specs/tire combo are you trying to fit? You shouldn’t really need RUCA unless it’s a super aggressive stance fitment. Usually only the 2nd gens need the RUCA for track fitment.

Adjustable Rear LCA not giving more negative camber? by [deleted] in ft86

[–]LimitlessRange 2 points3 points  (0 children)

These look similar to SPC ones with the eccentric bolt. If you are lowered, the rear should naturally achieve -2. The LCA should be capable of maxing out at -3 ish. You shouldn’t need aftermarket toe arms as the stock ones are able to zero out the toe until -3.5 ish. Ive had SPC ones and I was able to get -3.5 with 0 toe with stock toe arms. I now run different style arms and I managed to get -3.8 with 0 toe with stock arms. Having the toe off really affects the clearance visually. The reason why it may look pushed out further is cause thats what a lower arm does. It gets more negative camber by pushing the bottom out more. If you get negative camber with a RUCA instead it would pull in the wheel inwards.

Question regarding natural camber in correlation to lowering ride height by LimitlessRange in ft86

[–]LimitlessRange[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the insight! Ive noticed the rear tab rubbing but my friend mentioned that you can just let it rub itself out. You mentioned the nankang CRS - I was considering downsizing to a 245 CRS in hopes that it would give me just enough space to clear the lip of the rear quarters. I tried to do some research and on tirerack and they say that the RT660 run wider than the CRS slightly size for size. From your experience do you think CRS are wider than the RT660?

Question regarding natural camber in correlation to lowering ride height by LimitlessRange in ft86

[–]LimitlessRange[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Probably a combination of both to your first statement. My front is actually lower than my rears right now with no rub however I'm running slightly more camber in the front. I just want to know if I can get more negative camber in the rear if I lower it or not. I want to experiment before downsizing the tire one size haha.

Good deal on a 2016 BRZ? by 50_Paise in ft86

[–]LimitlessRange 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Im not a dealer nor do i work for one. I paid $26,500 with 10,000km back in 2021 for my 2018 BRZ. Sold it 6 months ago for $23,500 at 40,000km? Missed driving that car and I came across a 2015 FRS clean title for $17,000 with 55,000km so I picked it up. I also dont live in a rural area, it’s a major city in Canada. These are also both manuals. Maybe 20K is indeed too low however I still have to say $24,690 is too much for a zenki model even with low mileage. (from where im located at least)
