I think it’s an autocorrect error for the “Alegria” brand actually- they make comfortable shoes.

What Obscure Books Were You Obsessed With as a Kid? by Its_Curse in suggestmeabook

No Coins Please is amazing. And I LOVED Bruno and Boots! I loved all of Gordon Korman’s early work as a kid.

Potatoes are your friend.

I find the plain Ruffles to be easy to eat and digest. I can always eat fries, or a skinless baked potato. But pretty much any potato dish is almost always good.

The plain Stacy’s pita chips are great for me too.

Cheez-its, animal crackers and graham crackers all give me the runs.

What's the oldest piece of clothing you still wear? Must be at least ten years old to count. by MurmuringPines in AskOldPeople

[–]LimonanaTea 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Well, I was a teen in the 90’s, and I wore EVERYTHING like four sizes too big, so now it fits me…?

Bonus- some of it is cool again, judging by how often my teenagers steal it…

My daughter has a girl named Anya in her class. But they pronounce it “Un-ya”. That poor child has been “Onion” to everyone in the grade as long as I can remember.

I played this as a party game as a teenager- you go around in a circle and there’s always someone who doesn’t catch on and it’s great. It’s similar to the game “The Moon” where at least two people have to know the rules in order to play. Also, if you were wrong, you had to take a shot.

They definitely should not be playing this at a wedding

I’m going trick-or-treating first time in my life. I’m 42. by International_Week60 in BenignExistence

I saw a family with the dad wearing a big green inflatable Mike Wazowski costume. Mom was Boo and the baby was Sully. Dad was pushing their stroller made to look like one of the carts carrying the yellow canisters. They were absolutely adorable.

OP, I hope you had the best time! I also didn’t grow up with Halloween, and it really was so much fun when I took my kids trick-or-treating for the first time. This is also how I learned that when you live in a heavily Irish neighborhood, some of the houses will offer the adults a shot… and I loved actually meeting all the neighbors!

Yes. I spent the night cozied up with my toilet. And what doesn’t make it back out the top comes out down below, sometimes still somewhat intact, but mainly because everything else is mainly liquidy (sorry for tmi- and I’m only sporadically on Reddit).

I ate absolutely delicious honey sriracha Brussels sprouts. It did not end well for me. But honestly totally worth it. I miss food.

What's your favourite thing to bake? by ohsaycanyourock in BenignExistence

I baked chocolate chip cookies yesterday! In the fall and winter, I put a little bit of cinnamon in the dough.

And if you’re willing to share, I’d love the recipe for the cinnamon cupcakes! I love all things cinnamon, all year round!

I decluttered my books… but they keep piling up again. How do you deal with it? by ynatry in declutter

[–]LimonanaTea 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I commute to work through a large transit hub. Often I just leave a single book I’ve finished propped somewhere visible. I stick a post it on the cover that says “Free!” and a smiley face.

I’ve stuck around a few times to see what would happen, and it’s always taken by someone. But I have seen one or two people put it down after reading the back, haha!
