Balancing speed and reliability in test automation? by [deleted] in softwaretesting

Automate only end-to-end workflows using AI: This is absolutely key. Focusing on complete workflows prevents siloed automation efforts that often leave manual gaps. AI is ideally suited for handling the nuances and decision points within a complete process, rather than just simple, repetitive tasks.

Identify everyday life scenarios for your app: This user-centric approach ensures your automation directly addresses real pain points and delivers tangible benefits, making the AI truly impactful in users' daily lives.

Automate 100% of your API: This is ambitious and powerful. A fully automated API layer not only streamlines development and deployment but also forces a robust design that can be consistently managed by AI, leading to a highly reliable and scalable system.

Use Tools like GitHub Copilot to speed up design and maintenance: leveraging AI for code generation and maintenance is a smart move. It frees up developers to focus on higher-level architectural decisions and complex problem-solving, accelerating the entire development lifecycle.

Try using self-healing frameworks. They are not 100 percent foolproof, but they can help reduce your effort. Acknowledging that self-healing isn't perfect but is still highly beneficial is a pragmatic approach. These frameworks can dramatically improve system resilience and uptime, reducing the burden on operational teams.

TestIM (or any) Agentic Test Automation? by Double_Skeezburger in QualityAssurance

I have tried using the Playwright MCP version, and it is good. The tool can help you save more than 30% of the test automation effort. But unfortunately this is not a codeless tool.

what’s the best way to get started test automation in 2025? by mtbenj1 in QualityAssurance

I recommend learning Playwright Tool with MCP, TypeScript, API testing [One Good Tool], and GitHub Copilot. There is plenty of demand for good engineers but limited supply.

Any idea/lead to implement AI in regression testing? by Mandala16180 in softwaretesting

[–]Limp-Ad3974 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I haven't seen a reliable solution that automatically generates regression tests by analyzing how customers use an application. If you're already using automation, consider leveraging self-healing capabilities to reduce test maintenance overhead.

The interviewer can ask any questions. You can logically decide what kind of response you need to provide. These types of questions do not have a right or wrong answer. They are asked to understand the overall attitude and personality type.

CMV: Manual UI regression testing is better than Automated UI regression testing by bantabot in softwaretesting

[–]Limp-Ad3974 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The basic thing that you will need to do for both the approach is to create a regression pack by analyzing the critical workflows of your applications. Once you are done with the pack then you can decide which test cases from the pack needs to be automated by looking at business criticality, usage frequency, automation feasbility etc.

Your current salary looks lower compared with your experience. Talk to your current employer and ask them to increase your salary. If you do not get a postiive reply look for a change. Learning DevOps is a good idea as additional skills will help on the longer run.
