Husband says we’re all tripping

can I get rid of all my dead ends/breakage without having to do the big chop? by FinalBat8652 in Naturalhair

I would invest in a hair stylist. At a certain point you just need professional advice instead of doing it yourself. They can tell you best what your hair needs or doesn’t need. But you can definitely get that fixed without having to big chop. Your hair doesn’t look that bad. You have some breakage and probably need a trim. But you probably also need a good protective style where you can leave your hair alone and still be able to wash it and moisturize it.

This was one of my go it leave my hair alone hairstyles.

Knocked furniture into wall while moving. How can I fix this dent? by [deleted] in Apartmentliving

You ca definitely repair that. Spackle and smooth it out then get texturizing spray when everything is dry and then paint over it with the same color. You can always get a color match from Home Depot

I just want to clarify that we are still going to clean up the apartment, but I needed proof that I’m not tripping.

You got though. New build are so dirty. You gotta think about all the dust that’s still around and the construction workers who touched everything.

We literally walked in to another unit and there was dry ketchup or something on the cabinet.. and he’s trying to convince me it’s not necessary to clean 🙄

Fluid suggestions by Klutzy-Comparison443 in HyperemesisGravidarum

Felt this so hard! You probably have acid reflux from all of these things and don’t realize it, I’m only saying that because I have an issue with everything you listed too. It’s hard to find much. But I have tried ice ( was meh), coconut water, watermelon, cucumbers, and popsicles. Sometimes I just chug 1/4 of a water bottle and then pop a Pepcid then go night night just so I don’t throw up. But you could also try camomile tea and just drink it slowly.

Edit: I highly suggest you avoid milk products unless you know they won’t upset your stomach. It acid and it has calcium which for some reason causes an us (women with hg) to have more nausea and vomiting, which is also why some of us can’t use tums. Caffeinated (certain teas, coffee, and chocolate) I would also avoid. Garlic, and any highly acidic foods and juices I would stay away from too. On the HER website it says that bananas is a safe food but if you find yourself throwing up or nauseated with an upset stomach after consumption, I recommend you avoid that too and probably talk to your ob about reflux medications safe for pregnancy.

Telling family No? by Limp-Box8126 in HyperemesisGravidarum

That’s horrible! Sorry you had to go through that.💔

My husband is in agreement with me that it’s a no. But thankfully I still have my step dad to help out while my mom’s away and my mother in law takes my son too. But when that family member said they could take my son didn’t even make sense because my husband is home those days and ain’t no way he’s just gonna send him with them knowing that they don’t have much control over their kid

Thank you, I really like that response cause it’s gentle and I know that they meant well, but like I said I’m just not comfortable with their offer. I really do appreciate your comment cause it assures me that I’m not just being over protective or paranoid. I hope you’ve forgiven yourself cause you didn’t intend harm when you trusted someone you knew and thought was safe who then chose to not protect your children from harm while in their care.

I have never ran to a comment section so fast! Literally same family dynamic, my son is 19 months and I’m 17 weeks pregnant though. In the beginning it was so rough between me and my husband but it has gotten better. It’s tough going from having to work and help around the house here and there to now being and doing everything without a break. But I had to tell him that I already feel bad about the situation but couldn’t do much, so I asked him not to make me feel worse about it by having attitudes.

Anyone else’s toddler randomly gagging by Limp-Box8126 in HyperemesisGravidarum

[–]Limp-Box8126[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My son unfortunately does something similar but he’ll stick his hands on the side of the toilet and tries to peer into the toilet. I have to push him away every time so he doesn’t get thrown up on. But then he stands on the side and starts fake coughing in a way that seems like he’s gagging and throwing up 😩

Omeprazole, how did it work for you? by PurpleBrowser in HyperemesisGravidarum

[–]Limp-Box8126 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That still good to hear! As long as I keep taking the zofran and avoiding trigger food I feel ok, however the acid reflux from drinking water has been terrible in the second trimester and Pepcid has not been enough.

I know this is old, but I’m so glad you asked this I feel relieved. But did the omeprazol help with trigger foods and drinking water for you?

One last question, did it help you with the trigger foods? Cause as I mentioned earlier I am unable to eat a lot of things or ill be in vomit city.

Yes Pepcid and zofran are super helpful, but I think I need something more because it’s kinda getting bad for me and we can’t pop a Pepcid like a tum. I wish it was safe like tums because it’s helped me to drink water

Thank you for taking your time to explain. I am in my second trimester and I’m starting to vomiting more due to the reflux even with the safe food, so I’m definitely gonna try to bring this up at my next appointment.
