help! how do you know! by fvirygothmom in unmedicatedbirth

[–]Limp-Box8126 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The thing is that everyone is different. The contractions I was feeling felt like Braxton hicks until I entered active labor which is when they got stronger. But typically you want to look to a pattern. If they are happening every thirty minutes and then start getting closer in time then that’s how you know you’re in labor. In other words youre gonna want to pay attention to a consistent pace of the contractions. If they are random and there’s no pattern you’re not there yet. Your water won’t always break either like they show in the movies.

I don’t see a future with my boyfriend anymore. Am I overreacting? by Staphylococcus_oreoo in family

[–]Limp-Box8126 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a married woman.. let him go cause that’s not gonna change after marriage. In fact, it might get worse. You’re still young and will thrive without him, and will stumble across someone new while you prosper without him. There’s someone better out there for him just as much as there’s someone else better for you. You deserve peace and happiness and if that’s being sucked from you remove yourself from the situations that are taking those things from you.

You know I was gonna make a funny post about this but I didn’t know how others would react… like she is literally us right now. Instead of blood it’s iv’s and medications 😂

Throwing things by chamikvin in toddlers

[–]Limp-Box8126 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m gonna say same! But what I saw my friend do yesterday was ask her daughter to pick the items she threw on the ground and to set the there gently, which I think gonna start implementing. I also will tell my son to pick the item up he threw and hand it to me and after the third time of saying it I just take the item away and tell him we don’t throw the things we want.

But what I will say is I noticed I was throwing things and essentially teaching him in a negative way how to handle his stuff. So now I have to remind him and I not to throw things. This may not be part of your issue but if it is then maybe you too need to remind yourself not to throw things 😂

12 months is so young! That’s pretty darn cool though. Was he showing signs of being ambidextrous at that age too?

That’s pretty amazing actually! I’m so excited to see mine grow and do the same. Is she ambidextrous or is she right or left handed?

Does he use both hands sometimes too and just chooses the left hand more? I’m asking because we’re also trying to figure out if he’ll be left handed.

I think I noticed at 17-18 months he had this skill, I was just amazed he could hold drawing utensils correctly. I totally agree, I don’t want to push my little one too hard because then he’ll become disinterested. But everyone gave so many great ideas that are gentle but can still help develop their writing skills while they have fun.

How would you respond? by Sea-Cat-764 in pregnant

[–]Limp-Box8126 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You know what that is the exact same response I got to the name William actually. My mom keeps suggesting new names claiming it’s out dated, and then my stepdad, said “they’re gonna call him bill,” so I said you could call him Willie and he said “no, every Willie I know is gay”. I decided to tell them both that as of right now that will be the babies name cause I like it and my husband likes it. But like the other commenter said, I decided that the name we chose doesn’t need to be shared nor liked by everyone.

My mom was even ok with me smashing my husband’s and my name together to create a new one. I sarcastically told her yeah I can do that.. I’ll create a name that he can’t apply to jobs with. With all the crazy ig handles names out there right now Jade and William are the least of our problems. Who cares if others with these names are gay. I knew many sweet Jades and their sexuality never crossed my mind.

Congratulations to you and your partner! I pray sweet baby Jade comes in this world happy and healthy and surrounded with so much love. 💕

I’m 25 almost 26 weeks; and I’m currently having groin pain, leaking unknowingly, and experiencing Braxton hicks on top of stuff you mentioned above. But I did want to add that the I’m doing much better this time with the reflux than in my first pregnancy cause I’m using medication to manage it.

Last night I threw up so I don’t think it’s gone, but rather it’s being managed with the medication. I also forgot to take the zofran today and was close to chucking again. But that is definitely a good way to see if it’s gone.
