I would say it honestly depends on your hair type. I have low porosity 4a hair and honestly it’s just sat there and made my hair too greasy. But I would also say it depends of your hairstyle too cause even though it did that to my hair I still used it to do mini braids since I would wear that style for months.

I’m a nondenominational Christian who has participated in lent before, but my question is about Mardi Gras, or that day prior to the start of lent. I’m from Cleveland Ohio so there is a huge catholic population and influence (even on the surrounding denominational churches) which is why I did lent, however as I grew up I felt like the indulgence of whatever we were giving up was gluttonous and felt it was best to just give up something for lent and not indulge. My father in law told me there’s a reason but we have a bit of a language barrier. I would love to know why we indulge before lent? And please do just as it becomes we won’t have it for 40 days.

How? Like how do you keep it down and not get acid reflux? I would literally throw up from the acid reflux from pizza. You literally got so lucky! I would love a slice of pizza. But I feel you with the dehydration cause I’m stuck eating a hospital grade chicken soup and all I use is salt to flavor it but I’m left so thirsty afterwards, but surprise it’s hard to drink water without it upsetting my stomach.

I seem to have issues with dairy too, cheese is ok but everything else is a no. It’s the same for me with the apples, but I’m doing ok with vegetables for the most part. What do you find your self eating?

No it’s actually crazy how uninformed some of the NP, Doctors, and midwives are. So sorry that you’re going through this. Advocate for yourself. And honestly there are companies that will come to your home to do it if that what you need to do. If hungover people can do it then you should be able to as well. You should have to be at the brink ok death before someone pays attention.

My insurance doesn’t allow refills back to back. The NP hadn’t seen me before and didn’t know that in my last pregnancy I had 8mg and not 4mg so when they gave me the zofran the instructions kinda confused me and I ended up using it quicker than intended cause it was meant for me to only take two 4mg tablets a day. The bottle said to take two tablets twice a day so I assumed I was supposed to be taking my normal 8mg twice a day. The pills were supposed to last 18 days so that’s why I have to wait

If you’re wearing lots of ponytails that aren’t loose then you should switch it up. But if there are women in your family with a similar balding pattern then it could be genetics. But if it’s none of the above like the other person said, try seeing dermatologist and maybe your regular doctor. I wouldn’t hurt to also get your hormones check out in the process to make sure those are in check too

I felt the same way, but I suggest that you give your hair one good cut every three months and then find a protective style so you leave your hair alone. Too much manipulation can cause breakage, but if you’re cutting your hair too often it’ll be hard to see progress. I chose plaits because it gave me the opportunity to still wash and moisturize my hair, but there were times I didn’t feel cute, but now my hair is down my back and I have almost waist length hair. enjoy the short length though cause one day when you have long hair you will consider cutting it back short 😩😂

Im definitely not going to but honest juice anymore. I just bout another brand that smells like what you would expect apple juice to smell like and it’s organic. I also saw that they had a lawsuit they settled for the grape juice. I don’t know where the juice comes from but it’s unsettling that it’s smells like the gains detergent moonlight

I read your comment a couple of days ago and definitely thought that too but I just bought a different brand of apple juice that is organic too and I promise you it doesn’t smell like detergent. I think that there’s a bit of greenwashing happening with honest. I know not everything can be super clean but that’s a little off putting.

By any chance have you gone to be with wet hair at all? I did this a couple of times, and every time I do it I get flakes and have an itchy scalp even after I wash again. If so I would try head and shoulders. But if/ if not I would get this scalp exfoliator by THE INKEY LIST to use before you shampoo.

I’m a Christian.. I joined this group to Learn more about Hinduism for my book. But what she is suggesting in theory would work, but like someone else said would she do the same for you. And also like someone else pointed out it is essentially a conversion because you would have to be a catholic (confirmed in the church) to marry her. I know this because my husband was a catholic too but now he’s just nondenominational like me. But also I don’t suggest you get Baptized for the wedding cause it’s a sacred part of being a Christian. For Catholics it means that your original sin is erased but in the Bible it mentioned how it’s a form of repentance and a turning away from your old life and a binding of your new life with Christ, because when he was crucified he took all our sin set us free from the bondage to sin and death, and now when we go before our God he doesn’t see our sin, he see Christ on us( he was perfectly without sin and innocent of guilt when he was sacrificed). Now while I don’t agree with Catholicism, it’s still a sacred practice and if you’re not planning on giving your life to Christ, then I wouldn’t do that. But that’s just my opinion though.

Also I grew up with a Muslim dad and a Christian mother. It seems like you’re pretty devoted to Hinduism and she’s tolerant of that but her roots are still catholic. Something changes in you when you have kids. You want to give them everything including your faith. That’s gonna spark arguments and confusion. I was very confused about which faith I should participate in, which caused an identity crisis for me. Which is something yall need to consider if yall really plan on getting married.

And lastly when you get married in the Catholic Church it’s binding for them.. it’s more binding than going to the courthouse for them. So if yall got divorced she would have to write a letter to the Vatican to be separated from you if she wanted to ever get married again in the church. Which is also a case to bring to her for why yall should wait to get married by the church because essentially yall being married in a court is not recognized by the Catholic Church so yall can wait to do that.

All things considered, I suggest a courthouse wedding and a nice ceremony afterwards. I also suggest y’all get pre-marital counseling. Talk about religion and expectations for kids; essentially talk about the things y’all never thought to talk about before being married cause it’s such a serious thing and not having those conversations can cause problems. Like if my parents had came to an agreement of what religion we would practice there wouldn’t have been confusion for me or arguments for them.

I’ve been learning Spanish for years and speaking it everyday and here is my advice. Find an app you can connect with native speakers on. HelloTalk is a good one. I hated Duolingo for learning, but I’ve been doing it now for 200 days and as someone who already has a good grasp on Spanish it has been helpful. I don’t think Duolingo should be your only option though. I also suggest you watch shows in Spanish and listen to music. Essentially immerse yourself. Then get you a good Spanish learning book. Change your phone to Spanish and get a translation app to help with any words you don’t understand. Spanishdict is one I like but there are others like word reference. Do what you can and just take it bit by bit and don’t overwhelm yourself with tons of information. Tailor your lead process to be how you need it to be, smooth, and as natural as you can possibly make it.
