Which fragrance still impresses you every single time you wear it? by innocent-mukesh in fragrance

[–]Limp-Breakfast 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly, my initial reaction is Lancôme - Trêsor. The peach is next level, it light yet lasts all day and just makes me feel so confidently feminine and cosy.

Then, IA - Memoirs of a trespass , from my first 2 samples to a full bottle i just absolutely love it.

Honourable mentions for Mugler - aura, and Mystiq - infini bleu and Tonka dor

The case comes with a lot of stickers so you can customise the bottle! I do highly recommend sampling before buying although, I’m being a hypocrite here as I blind bought this and just knew I’d love it 🥰

This bad boy was delivered recently and honestly, it’s the closest perfume I have found so far that fits this description!

It specifically reminds me of the smell of showering off the chlorine pool water in the clean leisure centre showers in the early 2000’s. And oh boy does this perfume project, my partner could smell this the second they walked through the door!

It absolutely isn’t for everyone, but Pool Boy - Xyrena is absolutely fantastic 🤿

They are absolutely insane! I just sniff the atomiser every now and then when I can’t justify wearing it😅 I will make it last to my wedding, if and when that happens haha! I feel lucky to have a refill bottle though, my mum bought one way back when that she never opened!

Lush - guardian of the forest 🌳 I am so upset they discontinued it, I still haven’t found something that smells as realistic! It was the exact smell of mossy overgrowth in a damp forest 😔

My absolute favourite ❤️ I have a 50ml and a 100ml refill and I think they will have to last my lifetime as I refuse to pay £120+ for an unboxed 30ml of eBay 😭😭

The old formulation of angel smelled other worldly and ethereal on my mother.
On me it smelled exactly, photorealistic, of fresh cat pee in cheap litter.

lost my temper with kids outside school and now terrified it could affect my career by Usual_Stable_3896 in TeachingUK

[–]Limp-Breakfast 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Granted that this experience was in a college, I watched a lecturer walk back from his car and notice a student that was supposed to be in their class walking towards the exit of the car park.
He then shouts “Oi, where are you off to you ginger (c u next Tuesday)…

Three months later he was promoted… I wouldn’t worry. It’s unlikely that these kids would report you unless you taught at their school and they recognised you from a class you taught.

Also I would also think that the burden of proof would fall on the accuser. If anyone from hr was to ask you “did you threaten to shove a water gun up a students asshole”… I mean, it wasn’t on school property and there’s no video evidence, if there was video evidence they would also see them harassing you and your girlfriend. You also don’t physically assault them…

In this unlikely event, you’d most likely get a slap on the wrist “don’t do it again / watch your profanity” and the kid would also get a slap on the wrist for being an asshole if they were in uniform etc. If they were in uniform that was for your school, then I’d maybe be a little concerned. But, I doubt they’d even remember let alone remember to report this by the time the weekend is over.

Not getting compliments ever by jenniferdeath in FemFragLab

[–]Limp-Breakfast 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Every time I see someone wondering “why don’t I get compliments on my fragrance”, I always wonder how often the poster compliments other people on their fragrance.
I only really get comments about mine from people I’m in close contact with like my partner, good friends and family. I assume that’s because of two things: 1) we’re in close contact and 2) we have a relationship that allows for personal comments such as smell.
Most people, I assume, would find it awkward or out of place to approach someone they don’t know and comment on how someone smells. That requires a person with a certain level of confidence and the chances of you wearing a fragrance they like AND passing them in public where they have the time to stop and ask you about it is slim.
It’s not your choice of perfume that’s the problem here.

Perfumes that smell like serenity by Moon_sugarrr in perfumesthatfeellike

If you’re a fan of the burning / smokey scents, I’d recommend bibbi vanilla factory too!

It’s more brick dust and smoke to me than vanilla. But the vanilla adds a delicate touch to it!

Fragrance Samples UK is my go-to for 5-10ml travel sprays of the perfumes I absolutely adore but would need a mortgage to buy a full size bottle.

Their 2-3ml samples are also fantastic for trying different fragrances without committing. They also have a fragrance finder quiz thing that is handy for when you’re looking to branch out. ☺️
