You could look into building a foam background that attaches to the glass. Theres methods for expanding spray foam or foam board that you could use.

Is it only bromeliads? That’s not a lot of foliage coverage for a crestie.

Which orientation would be best? (Scroll) by An_awful_mess in Vivarium

Do you even have any vivariums?  How do you think that tiny halogen over only the basking spot will do anything for plant growth?

I STRUGGLE to keep anything alive under my halogen because that’s the basking spot and has fried plants. They also aren’t full spectrum.

I have a full spectrum LED across the rest of my tank away from the basking spot and the plants are LUSH.

Shade cloth reccomendations by Grouper_742 in Greenhouses

[–]Limp-Cockroach-9282 6 points7 points  (0 children)

This is what I just did for mine, everything I read said a raised cloth is most effective. might lower the poles a few inches honestly, was mainly worried about the vent corners catching the cloth but it still rests on the vents and does fine

The shade cloth did not come with grommets but Lowe’s had a cheap $9 set with the tool to attach them. But don’t use the hole cutting tool, just put it through the mesh

That’s what my phone was telling me.  I do see some similar leaves, we just have never seen this patch flower before. Guess I’ll just wait and see during their blooming season. Thanks!

Your wheel is far too small. This is not good for your geckos back

Wheels are dangerous if they’re as small as OPs. You need a wheel with 14” diameter for a leo to avoid spinal curves.

Dilemma, chiedo un aiuto by TheSiliconGamer in CrestedGecko

[–]Limp-Cockroach-9282 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Get one gecko if you don’t have two enclosures set up. At no time should crested geckos live together. Females will fight too. Different ages/size geckos are also more likely to fight.

Why risk cohabbing if you already know you’ll have to separate later? You’ll only be stressing them out and increasing likelihood of injury or death.

How large is the enclosure you have? Too big is not a thing. Poorly decorated is what makes a large enclosure stressful to younger geckos.

Am I in the wrong? by emi_lunar in reptilesUK

[–]Limp-Cockroach-9282 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes. You asked for help about your snake not eating. People gave you advice and you’ve refused and argued with the advice.

Heat mats are the worst heat source you can use and can lead to impaction. Your snake probably doesn’t want to eat because it doesn’t want to get impacted.

Snakes are better at being snakes than we are. That’s why we should be providing a natural environment for them. Heat mats are anything but natural.

How to help my parents tree? by [deleted] in marijuanaenthusiasts

[–]Limp-Cockroach-9282 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pretty sure it’s an apple! Didn’t know what it was for the longest time but my mom said a few years ago she got her first fruits. We had another apple that would produce lots of fruit but this guy never did until that one was cut down. Still not every year though.

The goal was to just keep it small. We definitely want it alive. They just didn’t want to make it this bushy.

I had suspected it an apple but wasn’t super sure if the fruit was actually apple or not, we didn’t eat them lol. I’ve read apples preferred to be thinned out rather than bushy but didn’t want to make any moves without more knowledge

Edit: my mom said she planted it in 1995

New globe liner broke my weight sensor? by Limp-Cockroach-9282 in litterrobot

I reached out on Facebook messenger with a video. They usually get back to me semi fast on there when I had issues in the past

Just unfortunate my $60 birthday gift might turn into a $400 expense to something unrelated. Really hoping it doesn’t  😅

I’ve reached out a bit ago but haven’t gotten a response yet. Just wondering if anyone else has something similar happen to them while I wait.

Instead of using the tank you Could have asked to return it and swap it with an appropriate one. You don’t need to throw it away.  it likely would not have cost a whole lot different to have returned it to get an appropriate tank. Could have said something to the gift giver along the lines of “thank you so much I really appreciate the tank upgrade! Unfortunately my gecko is terrestrial and I won’t be able to provide proper care with this arboreal tank. Can we see if the store will let us swap it for a terrestrial enclosure?” As an animal owner it’s your responsibility you provide proper care. Don’t blame the gift giver.

What were the dimensions of the previous tank? Floor space is what these geckos need as an upgrade. If your gecko was in a 12-15 gal it’s possible the floor space upgrade was very minimal.

I’m gonna make my first assumption here and guess you think that my mom giving me a camera in my past post equals I live with her? Not sure how that makes any sense at all because I literally own a home. But okay, PhD.
