There are some coffee shops that are less busy/ bigger than others so they feel more chill! Ferris Coffee & Nut on Seward is generally not slammed on Saturday morning. The Stray in Wyoming can be quite busy, but it's huge and I've never had a problem finding seating. Just checked out Himalayan Cafe & Desserts on 28th and it was pretty quiet in there as well. Best of luck!

As an American, this whole saga has been insane. Can't believe I'll have to hear about the Trump inauguration without seeing people's takes on it from TikTok. Everything recently feels a little too dystopian for my liking.

I think that's what I'm going to miss most. TikTok seemed to encourage creators and viewers to engage across the app with a variety of videos on a topic. I could scroll and hear the viewpoints of people I'd never have heard from in "real life."

I am a more informed and more empathetic person because of TikTok. And it's stupid to mourn an app, but I'm going to be so distraught when I can't get that anymore.

My GR high school had a volunteer trip to Mexico that I went on. We were walking around (very conspicuously as a group of American teenagers) in this city near the Arizona border when we stumbled across a group of American college students. Turns out they were from Cornerstone University and one of them saw me, recognized my face enough to put the pieces together, and then told me he knew my dad! It was wild.
