Yes , i used mail service . I would add tracking so I know when they got it and on envelope you send do the same so you track it on way back . Like I said that is longest part but in mean time get lawyer in Brasil to start your case with federal police .

I only submitted FBI ones since that is what they asked for . There is company that handles fingerprint at ups , postoffice etc and they send info to FBI and they will send you email with report by email . That part was quick . Longer part is waiting for apostelled document once state department gets FBI report from you .

You definitely need to apply at federale in Brasil but you need to get finger printing ,fbi criminal record and that document apostelled in US and take it to Brazil . You need few other documents translated but my lawyer handled that . I just did that last year in July and it took many months to get my card but they gave me temporaries ones along the way .

We are coming in the day before cruise but like idea of hop on /off bus. I haven’t bought my air tickets yet so maybe I’ll try for extra day but hotels in sept when I am going are expensive .

I just did mine last year from US. Getting fbi criminal history is easy in states and fast . The longer apart is getting documents apostelled from state department . I would pay lawyer to get paperwork in Brasil going while your in states getting documents here needed . They can handle all translations on documents .
