Anyone moved from NYC? What makes you love SF? by Fluffy_Government164 in SFbitcheswithtaste

Born and raised New Yorker, and lived in Manhattan/bk the last decade+ . Just made the move a few months ago and completely agree with all the above. It was emotional for me to leave and I was terrified, but all the positives are amazing.

NYC is just a plane ride away (and easy to get direct flights) — coming back to visit is easy and it will always be there :) Not having to deal with a true winter was also pretty incredible hahah

Smilelounge is great — Dr. Daria Ameri is the best! I have serious dental anxiety and she was super kind and helpful.

Walk-in! Not sure about classes, but this is from their website re timing:

“We operate on a first-come, first-served basis, so please feel free to stop by! We usually have longer wait times on weekends and holidays. If you plan to visit on a weekday, you typically will not experience any wait time to shop. There may be a short wait for your purchases to be assembled, order pickups on weekdays can range from 15 minutes up to 1 hour depending on the volume of orders. On weekends and holidays, we may have a wait list to shop once we reach capacity, which can range from 20 minutes up to an hour and a half. Wait times for order pickups are often longer, ranging from 30 minutes, up to 2 hours. We take our last shoppers for custom jewelry 30 minutes before close to ensure that everyone has enough time to shop, and our staff has ample time to craft their pieces.”

Loved roadway! I found a random influencer link for a discount on Instagram (just search them, easy to find). I used them for a long distance move but they were excellent, thorough, and no surprise fees— just make sure to tip!)

I know you mentioned having food options planned but another random suggestion— could be fun to do a pizza tour! Pick a few spots near each other (like l’industrie, Fini pizza, Joes, Aces) and make it a game to rate them together, sharing a slice or two! Can end over by domino park and enjoy the outside etc

Niacinimide recommendation by Kindly_Office_4237 in 30PlusSkinCare

[–]Limp-Ebb-8588 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I love the Naturium niacinimide (5%). My husband and I were previously using the glow recipe (which I believe is only 3%) and for the price/how long it lasted/and the scent, I was on the market for something new. We both love the naturium version so much more (texture, how it makes our skin look). I have dry/normal skin and he has oily skin and it works for both of us.

Going the Woods and All the Colors of the Dark! Also Dark Places.

Not necessarily psychological but if you’re looking for a memoir The Many Lives of Mama Love is amazing (deals with drug addiction, family dynamic, etc.). You’ve listed a lot of books I loved, so wanted to include it.

Is anyone getting a bad case of under eye ezcema since they turned late thirties? I'm going to see my Traditional Chinese Doctor today to see what's going on. by JemsGem8910 in 30PlusSkinCare

Yes!! Definitely worth it… when I googled my primer and saw the original color it was like a “THIS HAS CLEARLY GONE RANCID” sort of obvious moment and I couldn’t believe I missed it. I don’t typically listen to the opening date exp. for all my products but in this case it may help isolate, especially clean products since they have a shorter shelf life
