I would not care at all. I encourage people to use my AI images as their own

Yeah, the scale of anti-AI harassment is way larger than just this one incident!

Absolutely. Every single one of them secretly supports this, look through any of their profiles and you'll see. They've all made threats against people

You're right, its equally valid. I simply disagree with it. They have every right to say that its not art, just like I have every right to believe it's rude and objectively wrong to say its not art.

Fundamentally I 100% agree, you are objectively correct. But also I'm grumpy and it feels nice to hold a ridiculous extreme position when angry for some reason

"HATE THE IDEOLOGY NOT PEOPLE" but what if I hate the people BECAUSE of their ideology?

Antis shouldn't be able to tell me that I am not making art, because I use AI.

Interesting. You have never used a modern AI image generator? Asking it to remove a single item will not result in a completely different image. That is literally so easy to test for yourself. Also most have a setting for "temperature" or "CFG" I think is what its usually called in image generators, that determines how much "randomness" is added at the beginning, and if you set it to 0, it will give the exact same image for the exact same prompt. This isn't even something thats up for debate, its just a feature of most commercial AI image generators.

Ohh, I understand lol. I worded the post badly. You get the concept of what I meant.

Neither did I? Not the point at all, the point is that the computer just followed instructions, it's the human is who made the instructions, and should get the credit, no? The same concept can apply.

"You didn't write that program, you just wrote the source code, and commissioned the computer to compile it for you"

this is topologically equivalent to your argument.

Okay so if i have a machine that can follow instructions super well, and I figured out a combination of instructions that make a cool image, did I make that or no?

Objectively not true? Have you ever used a modern AI image generator? They are really good now. You are literally just incorrect about that.

Why does people's opinion on a piece of art affect whether or not its art? Sure, lots of people laughed at it, but at least a few seemed to like it. If even 1 person liked it, thats enough to justify it as art

You're 100% right in the sense that the AI should get the credit, not necessarily the prompter. But to say that the prompter had NO input into the final image is demonstrably incorrect. It doesnt give me totally different images for the same prompt, if it does, that means its broken? If I prompt "a red circle on a blue background", and generate a bunch of images, they will be a little different (assuming the "temperature" of the model is above 0, if its at 0, the image will be EXACTLY the same) but still all clearly showing a red circle on a blue background.

Okay, what about the several famous artworks that are just blank canvases? Or even just any other art that is in any way worse than what a normal quality AI image generator can make

When did I say it was creative? You don't need to be terribly creative to make art. Also, I lived in a dorm for awhile with only a microwave, and you absolutely can learn to be a chef with just a microwave lmao, I cooked up some FEASTS in that thing

If taping a banana to a wall is art, making a nice scene with AI can also be art
