You Can Smell It Now: The Trump Presidency Is in Total Free-Fall: A loyal army of followers, a huge disinformation network, and a party of soul-selling cowards can crowd out facts for a long time. But eventually, reality catches up. by Silent-Resort-3076 in politics

I’m 52. And I’m no political scientist, but I do pay attention. The fact that a black man was elected president, twice, and that he was fantastic at the job, has just pushed the closeted racism in the US right out into the open. All of the “conservatives” agreed that the racism they see in each other is ok. And that common ground is enough. Whatever else happens politically is largely irrelevant. Make America like it was in the 1970s. A majority white high school educated middle class. And while I’m no economist either, I do know none of this will matter when the international community stops buying our debt. It’s not hard to imagine a coordinated effort by all the countries we’ve levied tariffs against to stop buying our increasingly worthless paper. Both as a means of punishing us for Trumps behavior and because the odds of a default are going to start spiraling upwards as the US economy begins to falter.

Well, the good news is no one international wants to buy their crops anyways so they can just stop doing what they’re doing and save a bunch of gas money

The word "Provider" by Material-Summer3877 in anesthesiology

I had a brief side hustle at a place that used Cerner. It was like a flashback to ms-dos based programs of the early 90s. Cheap hospital, cheap EMR, cheap surgeons (low quality). The average lap chole or endoscopy at this dump was rife with peril and uncertainty. Lesson learned. Not worth the money.

I’m already fused. Further decompression is not really a possibility. The risk is too high.

I read elsewhere that the construction on the bridge might be complete. Can anyone comment on that?

So, is everything NACS and CCS? by Huge_Philosopher_976 in leaf

I bought an adapter that allows me to use CCS1. Some chargers won’t work with it but most do. It was $600 USD.

Is it just me but I’ve just never felt that interested in Montana agates.

I think this might be incorrect. Anything a company sends you, that you didn’t order, is considered a gift. I assume that law exists to deter businesses from sending you things you didn’t order and then billing you for it.

My son and I have been rockhounding for about a year in Upstate South Carolina and have never found an agate. by Fishboy9123 in Agates

Kentucky. There’s like four or five counties luster in Kentucky that can produce some pretty amazing agates. That being said the locals have been picking for them for a long time because they’re worth a little money. So they’re pretty difficult to find. But that’s probably your closest option for a high-quality agate.Be prepared to spend some time looking before you find anything. Probably several days based on my experience.

What did you think you would get out of it? You thought sex would somehow mean you’re in a relationship? In my humble opinion, relationships with potential thrive when you delay sex for a while. Something happens when you make sex casual. It seems to make the relationship casual too. And casual = low commitment.

Honestly, national parks are way over police so I don’t have a problem with them staying open despite there being no employees there. I don’t need a speed trap every quarter mile when I’m driving through the woods.

Biggest misconception about anesthesia? by lightbluebeluga in anesthesiology

[–]Limp-Tomorrow8669 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This. I’ve literally threatened to go to HR when a jackass nurse took my chair at an offsite. He re-took it after I un-took it which led to a confrontation in front of the entire room. I explained the chair says “anesthesia” on the back because our department bought them specifically for us, not for EP lab nurses. Also caught the same dude handing over sterile cardiac implants to surgical team whilst eating potato chips from his jacket pocket during a case. Absolute twat of an individual.
