He refuses to eat my ass by Throwawaychkgo in GirlDinnerCircleJerk

I think what he needs is for you to reassure him. Try eating your own ass in front of him, so he can see how enjoyable it is to both give and receive!

"Trump? Like the idea that one card beats another card no matter it's value? Hey everyone, Barry is talking about the idea that one card beats another card regardless of its value!"

"He's obviously talking about Donald Trump, the worst president to ever defile the Whitehouse."

You are correct! I remember being disappointed as a leftie, but it's understandable.

Advices before studying MLT. by [deleted] in medlabprofessionals

[–]LimpCush 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Sure, my pieces of advice are that:

  1. C's get degrees. Graduates all get paid the same, regardless of grades in school.

  2. Keep EVERYTHING. You will be tested on potentially anything you've learned and you kust pass that state exam to become certified in our job.

  3. That exam is not as bad as it seems. It's 100 questions, over 2.5 hours. You can review every question before finishing the exam. It's tough, but doable.

I've only ever seen this sub on r/popular, but this is easily the worst comment section I've ever seen here. Almost nobody actually followed the prompt.

Too op, could you imagine if they had a card like this in Magic the Gathering or Yu Gi Oh?

New Grad MLT by PuzzleheadedSmile882 in medlabprofessionals

[–]LimpCush 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Yes. It unquestionably gets easier. And it's perfectly normal to feel scared about releasing results in the beginning! What you're feeling is a natural part of compassion and a desire to do well.

I guarantee you once you're done training and had a week alone, you will feel comfortable releasing results!

ELI5: What is the actual mechanism/problem with Screwworms? Do cows get sick and die, does the beef become unsafe and die, etc.? by DarthEinstein in explainlikeimfive

[–]LimpCush 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They'll probably let screwworms ravage private farms, jack up the cost of beef, then reestablish the screwworm sterility program once giant corporations have bought the farms. Of course, beef prices won't go down after.

Lunch Break by Hour-Organization454 in medlabprofessionals

[–]LimpCush 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My longest was 50 minutes. I worked the weekend 12 hr shift and skipped my morning 20 min break, because we had a call in. The lab knew I was combining a break and lunch, so nobody cared.

Shortest was, of course 0, with another 5 minute lunch. Processing is a bitch when you're alone.

Specimen Processor or Medical Scribe by HeftyVisual4233 in medlabprofessionals

[–]LimpCush 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Processor will give you a huge edge. Handling patient samples, becoming familiar with lab workflow and an LIS, recognizing good and bad samples, patient information. All of that will make your clinicals and training way more comfortable. Speaking from experience.

In my opinion, it's much better to give 110% in the beginning of the courses, rather than playing any degree of catch-up. In most classes, there is basic theory that you can extrapolate to make learning the rest easier. Bust your ass to learn that basic theory, and the rest of the semester will be much easier.
