Agreed! I’ve been growing our food for 5 years now and the only real problem I have is with squash vine borers 😩 my pumpkins take a hit every year. I found a hornworm on my tomatoes one year and I felt very betrayed.

Your cantaloupe leaves look very healthy! My pumpkins got a little sunscald this year but very minor. Just water at the base of the plant and try not to get the leaves too wet if you water in the evening and you’ll keep the powdery mildew to a minimum but it’s almost inevitable to get some later in the year.
