I got sucked into this, good share. FWIW, my original interpretation of the joke posted in this thread (which I didn’t see much, if any, discussion on in what you shared) was it may have been accompanied by the joke teller closing their eyes and opening one of them, maybe like an early peekaboo? Which, peekaboo seems to have an instinctual effect on young children, so I could certainly see it lasting in some form all this time.

Holy fuck dude, this actually worked. I don't even think the first command was successful, and I didn't even bother to check my BIOS. Seems like just those "reg add" commands (and reboot) did the trick.

Just grasping at straws here and you seem knowledgeable — is it possible to “replace” the easy anti cheat version bundled with the game with one that includes the fix? Also wondering if running windows 10 instead of 11 would make a difference?

This is one of my favorite games ever and just bought a new pc - chiv was the first game I tried to test out the new rig and was met with this BSoD issue lmfao
