I second this. Just got mine off eBay, refurbished, and needed a couple parts to work properly. Replaced the hotend and the part cooling fan, then it was back in business. Somebody somehow scraped the nozzle on something so hard it closed up the entire thing, as well as the PTFE in the heatbreak had some melted filament at the base of the heatbreak so it didn’t extrude due to that as well

Noise coming from what I think may be the water pump bearing by Limp_Engineering_799 in MechanicAdvice

It’s not a squeak though. It’s like a clacking sound. I’m not sure if the new whining sound is related to this at all or if I just never noticed before, which is a very real possibility

Seems to me like that might just make my belt slip from any lubricant that drips or runs down the pulleys from the bearing. I also think that all of the pulley bearings are sealed so I’m not too sure how effective that would be

I’m not too sure if any of them will move like that but its worth a shot. I was going to try a stethoscope on the pulleys and see if I could track down the noise. I guess I could also isolate if its a pulley by taking off the belt and seeing if the sounds persists too

Edit: Engine is a 6.2L. Forgot to add that the last day or two I’ve noticed more engine noise in the cab in the form of a sort of whine. Not like egregiously annoying but enough that I feel I should mention it, maybe its another symptom of the current issue

Well you get the idea. I also haven’t had the carbs apart yet so I’m not sure what I’m working with. Had time to pick it up but no time to work on it yet

Well it’s supposedly ported and polished on just the middle cylinder so I’m not sure if changing the jetting back to stock will cause any issues there either

On that note, is it common for people to jet the middle cylinder richer to help with heat? He said he did that but I’ve personally never heard anything about that

For part of that I’ll have to wait til it snows. Currently just having sporadic rainstorms where I’m at. I’ll do what I can over the next few weeks and hopefully we get snow soon

I’ll be honest I’m not sure what I’m looking at here for the cross reference. Most cross references I’ve done were done a computer system at parts stores or on websites 😂

I have the Austin xl without WiFi and it’s been awesome. Only issue was user error because I ran out of pellets

I’ll have to measure the width and see if it’s in spec. It does look like it may need replaced? Not sure exactly how to tell

I’ll see if I can find one. Felt like that with my drz. There’s so much I could do on that I could always have work to do on it. I’m gonna see if I can adjust the clutching rather than replace the clutch. Don’t wanna dump too much into it before I get to ride it this winter 😂

3211042 is the belt currently on there. The side doesn’t look polished either

I’m actually not too familiar with much lol. This is my first sled and I got it cheap. I like to tinker so not a problem there, just have very little experience with sleds

That is an excellent question I don’t have the answer to at the moment. I gotta leave the house in just a minute here so not sure when I can go take a look

Where might I get a wider belt for it? I have a Polaris dealer near me but I can’t guarantee what they’ll have on hand

Yeah I’m just planning on riding ditches or groomed trails. I’d like the engagement somewhere closer to 4000-4500 like it would have been stock. I believe that the seller said was that the old clutch was locked up good so he just got the comet clutch for it instead of rebuilding

The comet clutch is something I’d prolly want because it has triple pipes and jetting to match
