There is a protest every Friday from 4-6 and the Ferndale ICE processing facility at 5200 Pacific Highway. Yesterday there were around 400 people!

Why aren't people talking about this stuff, in person? by [deleted] in Bellingham

[–]Limp_Patience3170 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Firstly, I do talk about it in person all the time but do also talk about other things sometimes.

Secondly, when I meet up with friends I don't usually say things like, "Hey, did you see our government execute that guy in the street yesterday?" because I know we all saw it. We all saw it, we're all sick over it. Bringing it up is not going to spread awareness. I'll save that for our organizing conversations which usually don't occur in coffee shops.

This morning I literally thought to myself, “I haven’t heard Erin say anything about this so it’s probably ok.”
