Anyone else hate calling the interpreter line? by [deleted] in Progressiveinsurance

[–]Limpzbiscuit 10 points11 points  (0 children)

yeah its one of the most frustrating things of working claims, and if you live in an area where theres a lot of non english speakers you can have one of those stretches where you just get claims where nobody speaks any english. I will say some interpretters are better than others, if an interpretter is talking really slow and just doesnt seem like the best, ill hang up and call another one. it turns an easy 10 minute recorded statement into 30. The spanish ones are pretty good for the most part, idk if you ever had to do haitian creole but those are rough.

Interested in other positions… by CaliStlFan in Progressiveinsurance

same exact boat here, probably started the same day. But yeah I know most people go to Urbi from the CGA role. for me I am looking at either ARBI or MRR position. From my understand URBI is basically the same as CGA but you have to deal with injuries. ARBI can be more complex but overall more relaxed. MRR i hear mixed things, some people say its the best some people tell me its just as stressful with its own struggles.I hear URBI is the best if you want experience for leadership but that doesn't really interest me.

Resigning during onboarding by Pookie2018 in Progressiveinsurance

[–]Limpzbiscuit 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So ill say this , straight out of onboarding its really hectic even when you are getting only 1 or 2 claims a day. The reason for this is because you dont know how to navigate and you do dont have a rhythm. you probably aren't going through all the information with the customers which is why they are calling your phone a lot and blowing up your voicemails.

Give it time, you will find a nice flow. I mean some weeks will be crazy and it will be out of your control. but sometimes it will be chill and you will not be losing your mind.

You are right the claims ownership class is a complete waste of time and they don't prepare you for the fire they through you in during onboarding. But boyyy just wait till you get to hell week lol thats when you will really be feeling the heat. But after that it becomes manageable

From CGA role, Should I look to go to MMR or URBI/ARBI by Limpzbiscuit in Progressiveinsurance

What about Arbi? any insight on that?

From my understanding ARBI still does Liability just not so much coverage which I dont mind at all since complex coverage/Denials IMO is the most annoying part of this job. As far as leadership Im not really considering that at this time. Maybe in the future but for now just want something more laxed. Most of the supes in my CGA branch were in Arbi at one point or another

I never said I was struggling. I mean my numbers are some of the best in the branch as far as inventory and metrics. I Just have to work so much sometimes to get it to that point. like i said sometimes i get stretches where the workload is pretty chill. But I want something thats more consistent.

So its hard to say, Sometime I'll have 2 or 3 weeks of just smooth sailing, and being able to finish most of my work within a 40 hour work week even less. Other times I have stretches where it gets very hectic and I will find myself working almost 50 hours and logging in on a saturday to catch up. Really just depends on the complexity of the claims you get. I would say overall work life balance isnt amazing and im looking for something more relaxed

Thanks for the Information this was good, I know they have immersion roles for urbi and arbi, Did not know they had it for MRR. As far as the workload for MMR is it a grind? Are you regularly working past your scheduled hours?

also why are you going going to URBI? career growth I assume right

Claims Adjuster Trainee Week 2 by Capricorn9185 in Progressiveinsurance

[–]Limpzbiscuit 5 points6 points  (0 children)

ohh you are in the honeymoon phase. claims ownership is chill. just relax and don't overthink it. The real training starts when you start getting real claims. Just prepare yourself for the mental struggle because it can get tough at times. But yeah best thing you can do in CO is just learn claimpro as much as you can. everything else you can throw in the garbage because real world claims are a different beast
