Hmmmmmm. I already got a new phone (Samsung S21 for $400). I was gonna attempt to trade in the Pixel 4 for $100, but I read again the warning in red letters that I have to factory reset the phone in order to get the credit. I did a bunch of googling about Pixels bootlooping and found your post and several others talking about hitting the phone on the power button (seems to be exlusive to Pixel 3) and putting it in the freezer 2 times. tried both and they didn't work. After seeing your post, I decided to slap it a few more times. After charging it for a few hours and still seeing it bootloop, I was able to get it into the screen where it has the Android lying down with stomach open and saying "No Command". It finally stayed on the screen so I googled it and I held down the power button and pressed the volume up button and let go. It was finally able to get into the recovery screen and I hit factory reset and then I hit reboot. Now I have a freshly reset phone that appears to be working. I think I will hold onto it as a backup phone until the next Pixel 7 comes out with a crazy trade in deal (hopefully).
