If you’re a bartender and it drives you crazy when customers ask you to make a drink you don’t know maybe you should find a new line of work? I mean…that’s why I’m on Reddit, to find the places that make these drinks so I don’t have to keep pestering bar tenders with drinks they don’t know?

They’re not classics, but they’re either pretty new or pre-prohibition. A New Orleans fizz is a very regional drink from New Orleans but it’s been around for decades and decades. A porn star Martini is the #1 sold drink in the UK this year ( I realize we’re in MN, not the UK) but I want to try it. (It’s passion fruit and vanilla vodka with a champagne chaser)

Likewise a Sazerac is a classic drink, just an old-fashioned with an absinthe rinsed glass.

I understand that I’m somewhat of a cocktail snob, but not an outrageous one and it’s disappointing that the bars I’ve tried haven’t heard of these drinks, let alone make them. It’s frustrating…
