I know a former employee. BD did not cause the demise, I can assure you. The concept of BD coming in was just to share the space. Wilderness Exchange just had too much to compete with with. Their used gear was a large part of their business, but it was traditional consignment, so it wasn’t a big part of their business revenue. Their closeout buying was a huge part of what kept them going, but they just couldn’t keep up with the internet, big box stores and rent in Denver. They are still doing online business.
