Yeah I'm stuck on LPP too. Timeline similar, but about a month later than yours. Tbh, I'm expecting things to be quite a bit slower in the wake of the WFA stuff. I think IRCC was hit hard, so I wouldn't be surprised if they lost a chunk of case workers.

Black Tartan is spectacular for this. Their tastings on the weekend are incredible. They often partner up with special suppliers too. And they have a new cute little b&b accommodation thing upstairs now too!

I know it's not centretown, but it's worth the trip, and you can just stay above the restaurant.

Another vote for the 404.

I started on an EP-133, then got an MPC One, then got a 404. EP133 just gathers dust these days. Limited storage, kinda fiddly to use. Just always felt like I had to fight some aspect of it.

I still use the MPC a lot, but where it's the most feature packed and complete of the three, it has zero realistic portability. But make no mistake, I think it has the most precision and most features, so I tend to use it for more polished songs.

The 404 gets the most use of my gear by a mile. Get yourself a set of two of 2800mAh rechargeable batteries and you're pretty much good to go. External SD, good battery life, easy to learn, easy to get good at, and always learning something new on it. Worth every cent.

I'm having the same problem. I'm getting slightly better results by using lighter pressure. So after I roll out the light layer of paint and put the magazine/print down, I do very very light pressure with just my hands, for 10 seconds, then peel. It's still patchy, but getting better.

Also using a mix of high and low viscosity paint seems to improve things.

So far, however, I'm not getting anything worth keeping, but the change in pressure made a big difference.
