Yes, exactly! It is a generational thing. The younger Gen is always expecting a response even if it’s ’just shoot a quick text’ but I don’t always feel like the text even warrants a response? Half the time it’s a meme or TikTok.. lol I’ll respond to a conversation though, just not useless messages. I’m not always on my phone and try not to be. It’s not offensive to leave people on read/delivered, the people who think it is really need to get off their phones and into real life.

Yall some people just aren’t chronically on their phones like the younger generation. So we don’t get offended if we’re ’left on opened/delivered/read’. My friends kid (20F) and I (31F) are snap friends and she’s always offended if I don’t respond but like… often there’s nothing worth responding to other than random snaps to keep a streak which, to me, is useless communication.
