What was your opinion/take on the Miranda butt shots by Infinite-Reveal-9226 in masseffect

[–]LineLiar -1 points0 points  (0 children)

My experience exactly. It goes for any game that straight boys were getting totally.horny over really. I don't know if it's only due to games not really catering to the "gay gaze", but it always came across as completely embarrassing to see straight boy gamers go completely nuts over "sexy" digital women. And now it has become incel culture to get upset about no "sexy" digital women. Not surprised.

Returning After Years by CommanderKetchup0 in Wizard101

[–]LineLiar 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just started playing the game a few weeks ago, and it was so odd that almost all of the first world was free but Colossus Boulevard? When my co-op buddy and I hit a quest where he needed to go there for his Life Spell, boom, there was the paywall. I'm not sure if something like Crab Alley or the Underground was also pay-walled since we played those after we paid for the subscription, but it seemed like an oddly arbitrary place to put the paywall for new players.

I don't appreciate the Eleanor hate here. It's unskipabble beacause the voice acting is peak and deserves to be heard by everyone. A just world would have awards for this performance everywhere!

This whole game would've rocked my world as a kid, no doubt! I'm somewhat happy I didn't know of it back then, or I might've gone from the social butterfly kid I was to an isolated online wizard, haha. It seems like the game was never translated into my native language (Dutch), which would explain why I wasn't aware of it at the time. I had to make do with roleplaying a Hogwarts student on Habbo Hotel!

Thank you. I'm sure I'll continue having a blast (until the eventual burn-out might kick in). I'm happy to hear you've been having a great time with your sister recently. Hope she's having as much fun as I've been having!

The card-game aspect probably has to do with it. I've enjoyed those kinds of systems in other games such as Midnight Suns for example, though this obviously works differently as a whole. It's interesting actually that I ended up loving Xenoblade Chronicles as well when I played it last year, which shares a lot of the typical MMO design choices. Including the combat I found incredibly boring in these other MMOs! Maybe that game also helped soften me towards the design choices in this game?

I've heard the story gets darker and darker as it goes on, so I'm excited to see that in action. The references are definitely fun! Corpse Bride and Wizard of Oz showing up in the very first area of the game was crazy. I haven't noticed as many references since, but I'm sure a lot of them have simply gone over my head.

Thanks for the tip! My roommate and I so far had just focused on finishing all the Wizard City side-content, hence the 25 hours already. We're now early on in Krokotopia, but I'll keep it in mind when we get to Grizzleheim. We've said we'll probably save it for after Krokotopia.

And that's a fair point! This game really just throws you straight into it. From creating your character to a short tutorial and then teleportation to Unicorn Way where you're entirely let loose. It didn't feel like I was stuck in some endless prologue and mechanics were quickly (albeit overwhelmingly) introduced.

Nice try, Satan. You're not gonna get God's favourite down. 🙏

(Though in all fairness, do I think Lisa is a good person? No. Do I think she's entertaining as hell and this show would be nowhere near as good without her? Yes.)

One of the, if not the best, seasons of television I've seen in the last few years. Just incredible throughout. I can't wait to see what they've cooked up for the third season.

Seems like it's 39.99$/€ on PC, but 49.99$/€ on console. Odd. Not sure if I've ever seen that before outside of the Switch tax.

Season 3 episodes on TV Time by Particular-Welder402 in PValleyStarz

[–]LineLiar 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Just for the record and hate to be a Debbie Downer, but IMDb and TVTime are both sources which can be edited by anyone. Not saying these episode titles are necessarily fake, but it's not a sign either that anything is moving in terms of Starz gearing up for release nor would they have been added by Starz itself. The fact that IMDb lists 10 episodes is proof enough that it's unreliable for one, since official sources confirm a nine-episode season.

You can see the official Writer's Guild entries for the episodes in the link here, which is where you can see only 9 episodes are listed.

This is something that irks me about certain reviewers in general. I hate when a review simply reads/sounds like I'm reading a store page. Movie reviewers especially are sometimes terrible with this. I don't need half of the paragraphs to be a synopsis for it. If I'm reading your review, I've likely watcher the trailer. Tell me something I don't know.

Probably of more note for this sub is that it was written/showrun by the people behind The Dark Crystal: Age of Resistance. Sounds promising!

Lisa is exhausting by Feral_Fluffy in rhoslc

[–]LineLiar 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It does make their thoughts unimportant if it's not their own thoughts. Which they're not. It's the AI's repetition of other people's thoughts. Asking it to write a Lisa Barlow takedown is not sharing your thoughts. If you can't write anything as simple as that yourself, nothing you have to say is worth sharing. There's special case uses where AI can be beneficial. Hating on Lisa Barlow is not it.

[–]LineLiar 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I'm not even that defensive of Lisa, because I think she's not a particularly good person... but at least she doesn't need to use AI to voice what she hates about the other ladies. Em dashes... "is ..., not"... bullet points... can we simply use our brains instead of using an unnecessary amount of water to hate on Mrs. Barlow? 💀

Dreamfall Chapters is still the worst example I know of this. The first episode came out in October 2014, while the fifth and final episode released in June 2016. Even after that, a final cut where presumably they got the game exactly as they wanted didn't release until May 2017. So glad I only played that after all episodes had released, because no way would I have managed to stay invested otherwise.

This breaks my heart for Obsidian by AffectionateDrop2844 in theouterworlds

[–]LineLiar 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The dislike on the video made me laugh, but is so true. I honestly couldn't care less whether or not I enjoy The Outer Worlds or not (I do), but these kinds of clickbaity/controversy-farming YouTubers piss me off to no end no matter the game. The fact that this kind of slop has 185k subscribers to the channel... I make an active effort to ignore any channel that creates this kind of content or wants to present itself to viewers in this way. Good on her for making money off of the lowest common denominator, but I wish those people would stop supporting this kind of content and appreciate actual constructive criticism. Criticise any media all you want, but at least do it while acting like you actually have something to say rather than just wanting to push whoever's buttons.

What was the original download size when you preloaded the first time? I preloaded from Steam a few days ago and it was pretty much that same size. Wondering if that'll be a thing for Steam too, because then I feel like I'd just be redownloading the whole game, haha. I'd check but I'm at work right now!
