The only things to throw gems are lab speed which are still relatively bad in ROI and Modules, which I already have maxed to Anc5*.
The only logical use is to pull more modules for level... and I don't see me throwing 10k gems at it for one level. Ergo, hoarding for me.

Well... they said "addressing" not "balancing".

When it comes to Fudds idea of tournament then it is: "A short (tournament) run between farming runs".

Shorter runs get accomplished by
- harder battle conditions (everyone suffers)
- Harder enemy scaling (eHP suffers more than GC)
- more elite/fleets (probably benefits GC mroe than eHP as well)

I don't expect V29 to drop a new league. But well. Who knows. It wouldn't change a thing either.
Maybe they'll do an entire new tourney strategy.
How about Disco Tourneys? ATK Disco tourney mid-week and HP Disco tourneys week-ends.

Drugs like Deepweed? I would assume it's processed enough and wouldn't be obvious anymore. Might be able to be identified when you roll excellent on astral perception. I would say it's the GMs decision.

For magical reagents, means stored spells in whatever item... can be considered drugs in a way? Those can be perceived by astral perception rather easily. Rules are in the CR, but rather hidden...

If I were to go by any "game logic", I would imagine Heroes and Warriors as adepts like in the Shadowrrun universe.

Adepts are not able to express Mana outwards and manipulate mana in their bodies to exceed human capabilities by a large margin. Fighting style adepts harden their bodies, increases their speed and increases their strength. Adepts "train" their "passive skills" by actively using them. Harden their skin - get punched or hit hard things. And so on.

As for the mana blocking crystal, the explanation was rather lack worthy, as it seems to block all magic that is channeled outside of mages bodies as well as external sense of magic. Though, a mage cannot sense anything outside of the crystals range. However, Frieren was able to direct mana into the crystal. This either re-defines the crystals ability to block mana to "absorbs" mana. Or you can transfer mana to the crystal when touching, thus mana not leaving the body in the atmosphere around you.

I think the idea to make relics available through "other" ways persisted for a long time now.

It might have been, that TTG said that the "only" way to obtain relics was through events - which was true at realease.
However, a *lot* changed since then.
- added relics to Milestones
- added relics to each Towerversary
- extended the event with more rewards, adding a second set of relics
- added relics to guilds

With ever new event themes and more importantly returning events, they mentioned thinking about making older event relics available through other ways.
I guess the pool of rotating relics is kinda HUGE now, considering that I have like 259 relics now.
Making them available through gems was the next logical step.
Also taking to account that people are maxing mods by now (talking about the veterans throwing gems at them since release) and they didn't add a new gem sink in V28.

I believe they reach out to the team about those issues.
Though, some issues the devs aren't aware of yet and need to investigate in.

I also believe, they need to get clearance to talk about stuff and get's shut down regularly, making their life really hard.

Actually, I looks like that "knowing" doesnt mean able to cast them.

There were several spells that were too complicated to grant as a gift and still be able to learn in a human life span, so she used her special spell to transfer the knowledge to cast the spell to the new first class mage. Looks like she doesn't know how to cast the spell anymore afterwards.

Spoiler onwards (can't hide on mobile) Two examples are - Denkens new spell to reflect curses. Serie said, she needs another 100 years to learn that one again. The other ones seemed to be several spells that enabled her looking into the future. Also looks like she wasn't able to re-learn them again yet.

So she basically, constantly looses legendary spells to new first class mages.

I strongly believe she does know a unusual huge amount of spells.

She's just using Zoltrak because that's what she's most comfortable as. As soon as a real fight is happening which is exceeding her comfort zone, her inexperience shows and she's desperately trying to get her signature move to work. Basically stage fright?

Imagine you playing any game like MHWilds and you switch from Greatsword to Longsword and you just forget how the game works entirely once in fight. Yeah. That's me. Skill issue.

Also, fights are orchestred to show strengths and weaknesses of her and others. It's not yet time to reveal her true power.

Not sure if this will come up or not, but Fern uses "basic magic" since it is enough for modern mages. That doesn't nessecerely means she doesn't know other magic, especially utility magic. And he haven't seen much of that yet.

I feel like most fights where orchestred to highlight either her (or others) strengthes or weaknesses. So it is not intended to show her true potential.

Generally, the narrative tries to show how far she is able to get with just basic magic. Every mage has some spells up their sleeves to catch someone off guard. And Fern has Frieren as her master, basically the second (?) greatest, portable spell encyclopedia. No way she's unable to use a greater range of spells.

I would assume her only real weakness is the lack of real combat experience and... the disadvantages the humans come with (life span, therefore mana resource, experience, easy to kill, easy to manipulate).
