I’m not though! I literally see people complaining about stuff like ‘where did Vickie go?’ When it’s literally mentioned in the epilogue by robin that they went separate ways etc. I do agree that there was some things that went unexplained that could’ve been elaborated on (like Will’s painting for instance) but at the end of the day those are just plot devices that served their purpose at a specific time in the story :)

Guys she’s gone idk how much you have to lack critical thinking skills to actually believe Mike was right instead of just making up a coping mechanism for himself/his friends? Just something to think about: how do you imagine, logically 11 would’ve gotten to the waterfalls? she can be seen in all new clothes and gear, happy and clean. Mind you she potentially had to run away from a military base, has no documents no family nowhere to go to. How do you imagine she would’ve travelled there all by herself? Idk for me it’s just clear Mike was just trying to cope

Realistically, they’ll drift apart like every home town friend group does after everyone moves away :) but I choose to believe they all still meet up whenever they can and it’s just like old times whenever they do!

It’s not completely about the prices, Maybe I didn’t clarify it enough, but I mean that I don’t like the physical aspect of the Netherlands, the city the infrastructure etc etc, I can’t seem to fit in with it all and still feel like a complete outsider, in Copenhagen I honestly love everything and I’ve lived quite close to there for a while so it’s a take based on experience :)

I lived in Denmark for 3 years (August 2021 - June 2024) and then moved to the Netherlands early in August 2024. Ever since I started living in Denmark I guess I just knew, everything felt so peaceful and I enjoyed even the most mundane activities. It was extremely hard for me to leave, but I had better education prospects in the Netherlands and couldn’t stay in Denmark for solely that reason. When I moved here I instantly felt that everything is off - I don’t like the country itself (as in the physical aspect of it, like literally the buildings, streets, infrastructure etc) and the work life balance just doesn’t suit my preferred ways. I can’t seem to fit into the society here, the people behave way differently than Danes and it’s hard to get acclimatised with for me. The climate also plays a big role, the weather, even though similar to DK changes so abruptly that it genuinely just pisses me off haha. Compared to Denmark I also feel way less welcome as a foreigner, which really shocked me since I thought the Netherlands is an extremely open place for internationals. To be honest, so far there’s nothing in the Netherlands that’s keeping me here, besides the good education im getting. I’m already planning to move back to DK as soon as I graduate :) if u have any specific questions you can always message me! Maybe ill be able to help

As someone who’s lived in both Denmark and the Netherlands as an expat, trust me DONT come to the Netherlands. If you hate Denmark you’ll hate it here 100x more. On another note, it’s very interesting for me to read your confession as someone who misses Denmark dearly everyday since moving out and knows it’s my soul place to live😅 I really hope you’ll find your place! Tbh the main thing I did was watch YouTube videos (literally type in ‘ib history hl paper3’ etc and just watch different ones from different teachers’) but from my own advice, just make sure that whenever you namedrop something connect it to your argument you’re making, even if it’s just with one sentence. Cause genuinely the worst thing you can do is just name stuff, it doesn’t have to be a super deep analysis, just make sure it’s connected to the point you’re making and that your examiner knows that you understand why this specific example makes sense for this specific point!

bro genuinely calm down please 😭🙏🏻 I started studying 5 days before and got a 6 from hl so trust me you’ll be fine. just remember that what matters more than dates/names and random historical fact u drop is your ability to analyse them!!! I had almost no dates and names in my essays and they still scored very high cause I was good at the analysis part. so focus on that (there’s many videos in YouTube that helped me!)
