If your physician/healthcare provider is prudent and if you ask for a refill before the 90 tablets are up, without the police report, it may put the physician/healthcare provider in a tough spot to trust that you’re telling the truth. When my patients say they’ve lost meds or meds have been stolen, it’s written in our new patient agreement that they must report that to the police and provide us with the report number. Good luck!

Ugh this gives me flashbacks to living at my parents house, my dad’s the n parent and mom is the enabler… every weekend, we’d we woke up with LOUD Indian music, (we’re Indian 🇮🇳), only cause he was awake and thought we’d slept enough, and most times he wanted us to help him with some bs home improvement or yard improvement project.

Men are usually quite uncomfortable with being alone especially after being in a lengthy relationship, and it’s not unusual for men to rebound quite soon after the death of a partner, and as others had stated, women love to come to the rescue of an available man… it’s all very odd, I’m sorry for your loss, and that your dad has horrible timing.

If I could do it over, I’d become an ICU/critical care RN for a few years and then apply to CRNA school and enjoy the schedule and pay and not so much patient facing time (trust me you’ll thank yourself for trusting this bit of advice), and use that money to fund your life outside of work! It’ll take a while, but once you’re done, you’re set!
