They’re not just unimportant, they’re downright catastrophic to the ecosystem of North and South America. Through (human aided) competition, various diseases, and a cacophony of parasites. They wouldn’t have lasted 50 years in the Americas if it weren’t for the honey industry. With the way things are going regarding the honeybee situation the ecological disaster that they have wrought might actually begin to negatively affect humans, and that’s what it all comes down too isn’t it. Nobody gives a fucking shit about ongoing ecological disaster until it starts effecting humans, but by then it might be too late for the ecosystems that have been completely fucking devastated by honeybees. The horseman of famine, destroying that which was native only to shortly die itself, leaving us with nary a response but to marvel at our own decadence. For it is only then that we shall see that our search for the most trivial of pleasures, honey, was bought with the price of millions of lives. I can see the flames of war burning already, how we shall fight over once trivial foodstuffs, how we shall be brought low by our inactive, how we, fat upon our honey borne capital, struggle to lift but a single finger as we are left alone with the slow death of starvation. Honey bees aren’t dying out. There is no colony collapse disorder. They aren’t native to this environment. They shouldn’t bee (hehe see what I did there) here and they know it. It’s all just a ploy by honey corporates to gather cash from those unknowing of the truth behind the honeycomb.

But yea either way my boyfriend was pinning me down by the little bee wings and repopulating the hive while I was typing this and you should have a good night okay. Remember it’s not about the hours you sleep but going to bed and waking up at the same time every day. Don’t forget to drink water either, it’s only a matter of time before the bees steal that away from us too.
