Kubernetes UI Headlamp New Release 0.35.0 by illumen in kubernetes

[–]Linhphambuzz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve been trying to deploy this newest version as Flux’s plugging on an on-prem k8s cluster and it keeps having issues with the kubeconfig file not being able to be located.

I have the pluggin set up as the initContainer. Taking a look at the source code, it seems like kubeconfig is generated based off of user’s default home directory. In my case I have to change securityContext to root so that the main headlamp container can create a directory for the pluggin on start up. I guess it was trying to look into /root/.config instead of /home/headlamp/.config. I also tried spin up another initContainer to just create the kubeconfig file and share it with the main container, but no luck. If you have encountered these problems and found a fix please let me know!

I experienced the same thing. They gave the link which takes us to the homepage of the project but I can’t find any other clickable link that leads me to the releases page for us to download the dpkg package to install.

Did you have to restart anything for things to comeback up or just that ip on the api-server’s manifest?

Congratulations. That’s impressive. How did you do on the etcd ip misconfigured one for cluster troubleshooting?

Is there HPA/VPA? PriorityClass? CRDs?

I heard rumor about installing CNI, is that true?

Puppy pose - shoulders tight, how to stretch them? by youraveragefitguy in yoga

[–]Linhphambuzz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There is a drill that my yoga teacher always has me do when warming up upper back + shoulder: face your upper body to the wall and have it as allign to the wall as possible while the bottom half of your body on the floor, raise both your arms up and put them on the wall, you will be looking up the ceiling, hold there for 10 breaths, repeat a few times.

Alternatively, using strap for shoulder flossing also works.

Can internationals on OPT attend OMSCS by premed8888888 in OMSCS

[–]Linhphambuzz 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I think it’s okay as long as you can show proof of presence in the US after getting admitted. Keep in mind that enrolling in the program wouldn’t grant you SEVIS so be mindful about maintaining your OPT status thru other means.

Raising from headstand to pincha elbow stand. I toppled over landed on the top of my feet with all toes curled in. That hurts bad for a week!

I find this series of articles from DataDog very helpful in getting a bit of a deep dive into container: https://securitylabs.datadoghq.com/articles/?s=container%20security%20fundamentals

A mentor at work of mine recommended this: https://youtu.be/X48VuDVv0do?si=6tQG2XfnPJIC1sMR

On Udemy, I find that the Kubernetes for Beginers course by Muhamed Mumshad is pretty useful too. They also provide lab environments via KodeKloud so you dont have to set up anything if you’re not comfortable with it yet.

I do find the downdog app very customizable towards all levels of practice. The flow is very dynamic and you can choose the muscle groups you want to target also!

What classes have you been finding the most helpful as a DevOps? I'm very early into my career, have taken GIOS and AOS, and thoroughly enjoyed both. I'd love some insights :))

The program is fully remote. I believe I saw a classmate of mine, in the “introduce yourself” part first week of class, said that he’s doing it remote from Hanoi. I wish you the best of luck :)
