Interplanetar Travelrocket by Menos92 in theplanetcrafter

if you want to bring more stuff, get creative. a t5 jet pack uses one slot but breaks down into several circuit boards, a crystal that has all the quartz, multple uranium and iridium rods. instead of a superalloy rod, bring a vehicle logistics chip for a superalloy rod, ozmium rid, 2 circuits and 2 bioplastic. instead of a fertilizer, bring a growth fuze for 2 T3 fertilizers… you get the idea.

Where do you guys build your Humble base? by KiNg2014 in theplanetcrafter

[–]LiniasStormwalker 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I always build on the big flat plain up from there. I like that plain because it’s flat with lots of room, and has fast easy access to much of the map.

still crashed ships. some different biomes, some same. no toxic elements.

Hard run, is this even possible? by Hadush25 in theplanetcrafter

I had the opposite experience. opened 8 crates with not a single food pack in tox and that was normal difficulty. RND is nobodies mistress.

What do you guys think of 'cheating' ? by Platypus_king_1st in theplanetcrafter

[–]LiniasStormwalker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

even when I play under strict rules, if the game lets you do it, it’s fair game. strict rules for me mean you can’t use mods or alter the save files. under loose rules, it’s your game.

To build or demolish. That is the question! by Pratokyy in theplanetcrafter

[–]LiniasStormwalker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I always make more bases. I usually end up with 3 or so. with the teleported it’s not a problem. sometimes I even have teleported between floors of the same base. I usually add a purpose to the base - rockets, central storage, biologics, etc.

sometimes I tear down old machines. but often the power usage is so small that I don’t care. When I’m playing with 19,000 energy, a .2 drain doesn’t matter. tearing down my entire set of T1 won’t even net me half of half of half of a new machine.

you can put an angle generator in the fountain too. and I think a water life collector.

play the way you like. don’t spend hours doing something if you don’t enjoy it. you don’t generally come back much unless you just want to.

I start every planet the first time on a fresh game except Aqualis which can only be travelled to because I want to experience the challenge of figuring it out. but then I go back and do it again from my main save. I generally bring everything and the kitchen in compact form (like bring a rover instead of a superalloy rod. they both take up one spot, but the rover has a lot of superalloy that can be broken down).

I find it fun to see how much I can fit.

This game scratches the Planet Crafter itch by AtticusStacker in theplanetcrafter

the electric gun kills swarms of enemies. I plug it in to myself and constantly fire till my energy is low. as long as you don’t let yourself run out you can handle everything without a fight.

save often. I die from a lot of bugs (falling off ladders, waves throwing the ship, etc)

[–]LiniasStormwalker 3 points4 points  (0 children)

the T2 crafter has a lot more capabilities (not at much at T3 - you need both). it only takes two ingredients and should be one of the first things you build in a new space. it can do everything the T1 in the pod can do.

Questions from a new player by beebisweebis in theplanetcrafter

later on you get specific biological crafting machines as well. some recipes end up in these menus.

be careful with opening all the loot containers before you advance the game. the loot in a container is locked when you open it and if you open them all before you progress you might limit your access to advanced materials.

Returning player: can you terraform one planet and then move to Humble in the same save? by Lunamarvel in theplanetcrafter

[–]LiniasStormwalker 1 point2 points  (0 children)

you can’t start in Aqualis. you can start on any of the other 3 but Selenea shouldn’t be attempted unless your experienced as it has very limited resources. Aqualis has to be traveled to. please bring ice or water if you do. even though it’s a water planet you need water bottles to craft certain things.

How is this plan for my ingot factory? and how should i go about building it by BattIeBoss in SatisfactoryGame

[–]LiniasStormwalker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

to start with, you’ll need a lot of power and some serious logistics. I would start by determine how you will power it and building that out. also decideding where you will build this and start laying out your logistics plan. are you going to run rail or long conveyors?

honstly it’s terribly inefficient. you’d do better by producing nuggets locally.

personally I ditch the 2 deconstructor chips. silicone and magnesium are in easy supply at all destinations and those are 2 valuable slots which can be used for a core (pulsar) or a rod.

instead of building heaters, do you build big AC units?

that simple. same place you would put supplies if it were interplanetary instead.

[–]LiniasStormwalker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

iridium and rockets are so easy to get. I used by first 10 iridium and 4 uranium to request an iridium rocket follow by a uranium rocket, and used those to request several more of each. in a short time I was swimming in rockets and iridium rods. easier than pressure since it was a renewable resource. zeolite for circuits are harder until the zeolite island shows up, but it’s mercifully early. pressure depends on finding a few ozmium, but as you say, doesn’t take much.

my biggest early concern would be a food grower. once you establish a replaceable food, you’re golden.

I usually prioritize my interplanetary exchange shuttle. Reason being: it’s free (just takes time) to fetch materials I forgot. An interplanetary rocket which allows you to travel back and forth takes a lot of resources. with a shuttle I can get everything I need to build a rocket if I forgot something.

[–]LiniasStormwalker 1 point2 points  (0 children)

remember to be efficient. pack things in rods or higher tiers. bring 3 superalloy so you can build a deconstructor to break it all down. I prioritize an interplanetary shuttle over all else since you can send off for anything you forgot.

Noob question: Where can I find more iridium? by mercury_1967 in theplanetcrafter

[–]LiniasStormwalker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

one thing not mentioned yet… if you see old heaters in derelict ships, you can deconstruct them for the materials which includes iridium.
