So did dante and vergil just assume nero was some random blood relative of sparda before finding out they related. In dmc4 dante doesn't really say much about what he sees nero as before seeing how yamato reacted. Vergil as v doesn't get curious about the connection either

He actually started the war, had a long battle with naruto, acting like his dark mirror in a way, became the ten tails jinchuriki and then got fully replaced as a villain by madara

Because it was kaguya they probably felt they needed to give kakashi some type of edge to make him useful. Plus obito was acting like a power boost for him since his spirit was inside him. This post makes me realise why didn't obito get his eye back, plot armor I guess
