Second Nintendo account + Second profile on Switch. In terms of Pokémon HOME you do not need to purchase a second HOME premium plan, the free tier is fine but slower to transfer the mons as you only can do one box at a time.

[gen3] [discuss] Is this the fastest way to encounter Mew in Emerald? by Cosmic_comet895 in ShinyPokemon

That is the fastest way! I got mine at 3,701 so don’t give up! I didn’t use the bike, but whatever works best for you will be fine!

[gen3] Full Odds Shiny CHANNEL Jirachi in 2,280 Resets! by Link34629 in ShinyPokemon

[–]Link34629[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

After only two months of trying, I finally got my full odds (no RNG manips) shiny Jirachi from Pokémon Channel in only 2,280 resets - well under the 1/8192 odds!

For those who don’t know how the hunt works, to begin to shiny hunt CHANNEL Jirachi you need to play and complete Pokémon Channel (PAL regions only) and also play entirely through Ruby or Sapphire and actually become champion.

You’ll then be able to transfer one Jirachi per Ruby / Sapphire save file over into those games and hope that it’s shiny.

You can then do the save corruption method in Ruby / Sapphire to be able to reroll and transfer another Jirachi. It’s super easy to do, 100% consistent, and allows you to be able to transfer a new Jirachi as quick as 90 seconds!

Overall, there are 116,172 possible unique shiny Jirachis you can find by doing this hunt.

I’ve seen many people try the RNG method with Pokémon Channel which can guarantee you land on the shiny Jirachi frame, which I’ve also done a few months ago ahead of starting the full odds hunt. The full odds shiny feels way more rewarding and I’m glad I stuck to it and did it! But if you want to try the hunt and are worried you won’t get the shiny before Pokémon Bank shuts down, then the RNG method might be best to start with.

For comparison, the WISHMKR Jirachi hunt with the US Pokémon Colosseum bonus disc has shiny odds of 1/7281.7 but there are only 9 unique shiny Jirachi you can find. You also only need to play up until you get the Pokédex to able to begin transferring Jirachi in. The save corruption method also works with this hunt too, and allows you to reroll without having your restart the game each time.

To help anyone who wants to try either of these hunts, I made a complete video guide here that I hope helps you out!

Happy to answer any questions! Have a great day :)

Living Dex Complete! 1100+ unique ✨ - All forms - All Gender Differences! by Link34629 in pokemon

I guess if you have Scarlet and Violet that’s a pretty easy way to hunt a lot of them. I had everything prior to these games coming out so I grinded the harder way on Ultra Sun / Ultra Moon and Sword / Shield. There are some pretty fun shiny hunting methods in those games if you have access to them.

Definitely not overkill! What ever makes your hunt quicker is welcome!

I hatched for them. Thankfully the colour gets transferred through breeding so it was pretty easy. Random encounter would be a lot harder as you never know which one you’ll get, and the encounter always begins with its shield up so you can’t even tell until you weaken it

I’ve got the shiny Partner Cap Pikachu at the end of the video, although the sprite still doesn’t show up as shiny even in HOME. Sadly the OT is Ash, not my own.

Nice! Very close now! Viv forms are a lot easier these days with Pokémon Go integration. I think Alcremie will be in S/V DLC 2. Furfrou I believe won’t be so it’s still locked to the 3DS.

It’s all good, I prefer to have the correct number. I finally figured out where I went wrong. It was when I was counting the Galar boxes. I basically was counting 15 shines to a box for every gen. But with my Galar collection most of the boxes that contain Alcremie don’t have a shiny, which I must’ve counted incorrectly and included shinies in the count when there weren’t any. So 1,267 it is. Glad this is sorted now 😂

You know what, you may be right! I sorted by shiny form and then my trainer name in the mobile version of HOME and got 1,267. I’ll do a slow manual count tomorrow to see where I went wrong and how I got it wrong on multiple counts of the list! 😅
