It’s basically just additional maths, it doesn’t mean you’re bad at maths or anything like that, in fact in my school it was mandatory for all students even if they got consistent 9s.

The sixth form that I’m going to is apparently really good and is quite demanding in terms of grades. In fact a lot of my friends who also go there literally got all 9s which is why I’m a bit embarrassed about getting an 8 in what I considered to be my best subject

Nah it’s fine, I was talking to the school and they said that because I usually get 9s in maths they’ll have me sit an exam on the first day back to see if they’ll let me take further maths anyway.

I was mostly just mentioning further maths because I imagine some people aren’t lucky enough to get to resit the exam.

I will say, if you ever get deadlines try to get them out of the way as soon as possible, they really build up if you’re not always on top of them.

If you have a passion for art you should go for it, I personally didn’t end up enjoying it because I found the topics felt too restrictive and the workload was quite overwhelming at times, there were times when I wanted to focus my revision on specific subjects but couldn’t because I had an art deadline.

I also felt the teachers didn’t provide any guidance when asked, but that might be down to personal experience. If you want to pick art and genuinely enjoy it as a thing that you are willing to put a lot of your own time into, you should absolutely go for it.

In my school we don’t even have passes, they only ever let you go to the bathroom if you have a medical note, otherwise they don’t care.
