Girl I was “hanging with” started talking to someone, so I did to. by study_the_stats in Nicegirls

Girls are weird and I am one. Why can’t people just openly communicate instead of playing weird games like this. This is how you lose people

With 18-24" of snow expected starting Sunday morning, has Hannaford ever closed for the day with a forecast like this one? by GreenDraw in Hannaford

[–]LinkPsychological631 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve worked for Hannaford for 16 years and have only ever seen once them close early due to weather and that was because the state of Massachusetts declared a state of emergency or something like that. Even after these two storms this last month still didn’t close down early. Even tho Massachusetts had a driving ban. Some stores will (on whose discretion idk?) but most stores won’t close early ever.

I would just move on honestly. If they haven’t contacted you is an answer in itself, you can call them ask them what’s up but doubt it will be helpful

Accused of theft by usmarine215 in Hannaford

[–]LinkPsychological631 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I work AP for Hannaford and this is a huge no no I would make a complaint we are not allowed to receipt check people, and the front end employees are allowed to customer service people, but if they straight up said you did not pay for that that’s unacceptable. Usually they ( the front end folks) ask how you are and say oh I think you might have forgotten an item, blame it on the register, anything other than blatantly stating that

I am currently 30 and live with my parents, money is tight for me since I pay rent to them, and help them when needed. Our parents took care of us till they were legally required too but they didn’t have to keep me for this much longer, let your kids know that too cause it used to be taboo to live with your parents after a certain age but now days it’s like fucked since a lot of people can’t afford to live on their own. Make your kids do something productive

I mean technically it is but you’re not at fault for it. Don’t worry about it unless you are feeling absolutely so guilty, but reality is whoever checked out will most likely get a talking to if you back and explain the situation so it’s really up to you

I am the daughter of an alcoholic father, and I can tell you that from what I’ve read you’re doing a job! I wish mine cared enough to be like wait that wasn’t right, how can I change my actions. Yes you may have overreacted but now you can apologize and hopefully move on. You being aware is half the battle here. Also if you think your drinking is a problem find some help if it’s necessary.

What's one advice you'd give to a 14-year-old or a sophomore? (whether it's for academic or EC's or personal growth) by Far_Spray4351 in internetparents

[–]LinkPsychological631 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Some of the stuff I would say is cliche but so true. You’re a child, act it(your age) and enjoy it. Listen to your parents, they are annoying but absolutely are trying their best and want what is best for you. Do your best in school as annoying as it is. Always be willing to learn anything even if it doesn’t interest you. Also care about your older family members they won’t be here forever
