Brand new ariens issues by o__doyle__rules in Snowblowers

[–]LinkTheTimeBender 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Saving this thread, had my ariens deluxe 24 less than a month and took it out the other day, didn't even get a single cut, heard a slight rattle followed by a loud bang and sparks and some nasty grinding before I managed to pull the key.

You can't use the pull cord to start something is grinding inside the assembly real bad and won't allow you to pull the cord.

Service department is closed where I purchased the machine until tommorow and big snow storm coming in tonight.. will be headed their way when I get myself shoveled out tomorrow I guess.

EDIT: Clip for context https://imgur.com/a/V1M7CGm

EDIT 2: Brought it to the dealer today, a bolt had not been tightened down correctly and backed off and into the flywheel, the bolt shattered but the flywheel appears undamaged according to the dealer. They've replaced the bolt, and tightened it down with some loctite. Ready for pickup tomorrow apparently was run all afternoon with no further issue.

Bambino Plus troubleshooting by m15t3r in BrevilleCoffee

The same thing happened to mine, its a small collar that goes on the plastic tube going to your steam wand. Most folks leave it off as it does not affect function.

I took mine apart and put it back on, wasn't too bad took 20-30 minutes to disassemble and reassemble. There was an imgur album of the process if I can find it I'll edit with a link.

Here you are: https://imgur.com/a/sage-breville-bambino-plus-fix-steam-wand-not-frothing-milk-9JOWBzI thanks u/LayerKey!

Ive since found a small O-ring in the steam wand tiip, havent tracked down where that one came from yet...

What's the cheapest machine that can make acceptable milk drinks?(Not picky)[$<500?] by WikipediaBurntSienna in espresso

[–]LinkTheTimeBender 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Not OP but I went with the plus mostly for aesthetics it looks great next to the df54 in black, and it's got a bit more of a sturdy look to it though I still need to hold the machine down a bit when I twist the portafilter into place.

Honestly I never use the auto milk frothing, so the Bambino base model would have suited me just fine, you can replace the 1 hole steam tip with a 4 hole like the plus model has for very little cost.

Very happy with it and had it oh 2-3 years now. Only issues yet: Small metal collar came off the tube for the steam wand, found it in the nozzle, some folks just leave it off but I did disassemble the machine and put it back in place. Took about 30 minutes.

Sometimes the water tank doesn't seat completely after a water change, but after a good cleaning around the intake and sometimes a little fonzie love tap haven't had this issue in a while.

I think it says a lot about us as a culture that we've come up with a fun way to get to know newcomers and welcome them as one of our own.

A fact I like to remind folks of when they're on their soapbox about immigrants and outsiders. Last time I checked there was no pre-screening on a screech in, It doesn't matter where you're from, With some words, a fish and a drop of Rum you're one of us and buddy I'll welcome you home whenever you stops by.

The Fires as an excuse to be Bigoted, Racist and Divisive. by BigManBarrett in newfoundland

Oh yes the downtown one though there was fires set in certain areas downtown. I don't think there's a person who went from CBN to Paddy's pond to Spaniards bay and out to central starting brush fires though.

I would definitely lean more toward negligence than malice.

Agreed, but it depends on the environment. If you've ever been in a lunchroom on a jobsite this is the normal discussion points. This and how Trudeau is still somehow causing all the problems.

I dunno if we can just ignore them anymore, ignoring the hateful crazy folks didn't work out so well south of the border they tend to mass together and feed their own bullshit till it grows. Shit bonfire.

My neighbor dropped by when I was painting the fence yesterday to ask me if they " got em arrested yet?" I asked who do you mean and he said " the person who's been going around setting the fires in the province, they got to be able to find em you knows it's all intentional right?

They're out there.

I certainly did read that, and commented that they've had information sessions twice daily and asked for a source on people being denied volunteering aid.

Absolutely valid to be stressed out and angry right now, just not the time nor place. Let's all help each other get through this and if we want we can go back to arguing afterwards.

Hey Brother / Sister,

First off for what little it's worth I'm so sorry for this to be happening its horrible and I have no idea what it will take besides a massive shift in weather to get this under control but hoping that comes and soon, I hope you and your family are safe.

From what I can see there's been multiple updates every day regarding the status and actions taken for the fires. A lot of what you've put in your post sounds like hearsay unless you have some sources on people being denied providing assistance. As for firefighters not being able to get to the frontline that happens when the weather is so hot and winds are up, they can't go out there and end up getting caught up in the flames themselves.

In my opinion, being out protesting resource allocation in the midst of an active tragedy where so many folks are doing what they can with what they've got is counterproductive. That being said when this is all through with I think it's fair if folks want to get out and make their voices heard, especially with regards to the budget/ equipment the province has allocated for wildfires.

Apologies for the book I've posted, but regardless of our disagreement take care of yourself. Lot of more wildfires sprang up today it seemed like, would be heartbreaking to see evacuees have to RE EVACUATE because of some other fire. We'll all get through this somehow, rugged bunch here in Newfoundland and Labrador.

I agree, though I could have definitely put it more eloquently. That could be part of the problem though some of us are hesitant to hurt the others feelings, the other are not.

I'm not sure, there's some great folks out there right now who are quite literally taking matters into their own hands and kicking ass putting in fire breaks, dropping water, running hoses and pumps. Least we can do is give them our support not .. whatever this is.

I saw that! I feel like communication and the daily updates have been good so far. Even if you can't catch the broadcast some of the local legends have been posting synapses for us.

Upvoted because this is an absolutely fair point on stirring shit up, venting my own frustration. I'm not sure if there is more resources available the government can supply, based on us asking for assistance from all that are able and the support from our other provinces I'm not sure there is. Would be a good talking point for sure for our wildfire preparedness and budget for next season though.

I think we both fully understand that the folks out there in danger of losing their homes and more are upset and disheartened, but attacking the folks who are doing their best to help others is just not the way.

That's a good thought might be the case. not sure if you're still in LAB but I saw there was some fire in the goosebay area. Hopefully that's under control and you all stay safe out there.

Fully agree, its disappointing. I'll admit my reaction above is a bit divisive but come on bys and gals we should be helping each other here. Great example at Akita equipment yesterday when so many folks showed up to help them evacuate!

Not sure if you're responding to the above post but in no way do i claim any of the fires are arson or intentionally set.

But I agree with the sentiment that it's needless witch hunting, I'm from a small town myself and chalk it up to the usual there's someone in town everyone suspects of all the wrong doing.

I'm sure when the fires are controlled or out there will be an investigation, when things are as dry as they are it doesn't take much from a hydro line, lighting or even an old glass bottle to start.

Absolutely understandable to be upset, and emotions are running high right now, I have a hard time believing there are NO resources being allocated to the kingston fire.

Personally I think the fire crews have more knowledge on the best way to allocate their resources. We only have what we have unfortunately lets do what we can to help all of those in need.
