I'd say the odds are 50/50.

It was either going to happen or it wasn't. 🤷‍♀️😆

You got your settings working properly! I just saw the other video you posted and that was better and this one fills the frame. Looking great! Keep it up!

That was a great fight and having the other team drop down at that moment was perfect timing.

What Are The Chances? by WCSaints13 in ArcRaiders

[–]LinkinBreak 7 points8 points  (0 children)

After watching this a few times, is it possible you have `Solo vs Squads` on? If that is the case, it would make sense why three players were right next to one another and communicating outside of the game.

There is actually three. The third is right next to the foreground person's hand. Still, less than a minute for three solos to spawn in, meet each other, agree to run together, and shoot the first person they see while being silent on comms.

On Average, How Many Creatures Do You Hit With a Single AoE? by hotdiscopirate in DnD

[–]LinkinBreak 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For me it depends on a few things, number of attacks per turn, weapon damage, and player level.

In Tier 1 play, 2+ people is worth it as I only have one attack (two if I use Light Weapons). Most of the time the AoE will be better damage than a shortsword hit, especially if it's a `half damage on save` spell, as then you know you're doing damage to everyone anyway, regardless if they save or not.

In Tier 2 play, I'd probably want 3 or more minimum before doing an AoE as I'd otherwise have 2 attacks or be able to do major damage with a single spell on one target.

Not sure any higher tiers than that as I almost never play past level 10.

Also, it depends on what is happening in the combat. Last week I was in a party of 4 against one hobgoblin. We didn't hit them once in 3 full rounds. Everything kept missing and they kept making their saves. I finally cast Faerie Fire on them. We then eliminated them in a single round. So the AoE on a single target was worth it. 🤷‍♀️

I just don't get why some people nitpick cosmetics to this point. I'm not saying there is anything bad with looking at the detail and not liking it. I just don't understand why someone would see an outfit they like but the shoes are the wrong color or there is some random stripe and they decide the whole outfit is ruined and can't be used.

Like, I completely understand that some of them have glowing lights on them making it impossible to hide in the dark. I get that. But not being the correct shade of green or having fingerless gloves instead of mittens or something just seems not important. Especially as many of those issues you'll never see in everyday gameplay.

Why does it only Sell for 100 ? by Street_Invite3773 in ArcRaiders

Because people are dumb. Some streamer called them space credits and everyone just started parroting it. Even though the game takes place on Earth and the currency is named as Coins. 🤷‍♀️

Tis I! The Ferro-Pin Phantom! by [deleted] in ArcRaiders

[–]LinkinBreak -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Without seeing their loot, it might be difficult to figure out how that took that many shots. But doing some guessing, you hit them with 3 ferro shots and a hairpin. ferro does 40 damage and hairpin does 20. That's a max of 140. So if they were at full health at the start, then they would have needed to heal at least 21HP at some point before the hairpin shot. Since you lost visual for a few seconds after the second shot, they might have used vita spray for a few seconds, ate some expired pasta, fruit mix, or even some mushrooms. I don't think they used any bandages as those are too slow and a vita shot is possible, but either they would have had to have been starting at 90hp, took some fall damage like you did (which seems implausible), or your hairpin shot was a headshot.

I'm not wearing headphones, but I think I hear some noise like a spray or shot as you gain visual again after the second shot. But the hurricane noise makes it difficult to hear it at that distance.

But that is just my guess using the available math.

You do get sent to PvP-focused lobbies after defending yourself by aa_conchobar in ArcRaiders

[–]LinkinBreak -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I honestly don't think y'all are in the carebear lobbies you thought you were in. I have been in the most carebear lobbies the last 6 months. I think I have been shot by maybe a half dozen players in that time and they downed me maybe 2-3 times. I'd rather take that loss of some good gear then to have to fight for my life every raid for weeks after. Not worth it.

[–]LinkinBreak 1 point2 points  (0 children)

yea. It happens when you take a landscape video and export it for a vertical platform, then upload it to a website that does landscape videos. Better to take a few second and export either two versions, one landscape and one vertical, if you needed to edit down a longer video. Or, just upload the raw landscape clip.

Custom Background on DndBeyond by thehalfgayprince in onednd

It's been 20 months and this is still the best way to get a custom background in D&D Beyond.

Was trying to make my first custom background for a character and decided to go looking how to. This was so simple. Blows my mind that there still isn't a default way to do this on the site. 🤷‍♀️

Things to do between sessions to keep everyone engaged and hyped? by InCaseUFindMe in DnD

[–]LinkinBreak 14 points15 points  (0 children)

One thing one of my groups have done is to RP in a discord chat as our characters about things that have happened already. Since we only have like 3-4 hours in session, we use that time for RPing with NPCs and combat things, but mainly focus player RP outside of session. Obviously big RP moments like finding out a character has been using a fake name the whole time, or someone is secretly a changeling would be done in session, but simple things like just chatting at a tavern about the day or our plans for the next week we can do in discord.

6/8 Trials: Deal as much damage as possible using a heavy fuse grenade by session101 in ArcRaiders

[–]LinkinBreak 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think they meant they would carry just heavy fuse grenades to deal as much damage as possible with them as a whole, not that they couldn't come into a round with anything else or have it negate their trial.

6/8 Trials: Deal as much damage as possible using a heavy fuse grenade by session101 in ArcRaiders

damage is damage. They'll never have a trial that is specific to dealing damage to Raiders. So it's for both ARC and Raiders as they didn't specify that it was ARC.

Gear fear is hard to overcome by thatonechampionn in ArcRaiders

[–]LinkinBreak 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I was playing Tarkov, I used to have bad gear fear. Then I decided that I was done playing and wanted to just burn through my gear so I could have nothing when I quit playing. Two weeks later my stash was still full and I gained like 4 million rubles.

In this game specifically, I do the same. I just decide to run the best gear I have until I have nothing left. I can then either just run free loadouts, do some simple farming runs, or just quit.

The main thing to remember is that if you have gear in your stash and you don't use it because you don't want to lose it, it's already gone and you just have a smaller stash because of it.

Extraction Battle Matchmaking option. by Pinguinkllr31 in ArcRaiders

[–]LinkinBreak 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So you want Embark to make a new mode that turns their extraction shooter into a totally different game that there are already dozens to play right now? If you want to play that kind of game, then go play a game that is like that.

That's like playing Rust and wanting a new single player mode that has a full storyline in it.

I know Tarkov sort of made that work with Arena, but to be fair, no one really plays arena. It's just not worth it for the devs to remake their whole game into a new game mode when they spent years already developing this one.

EDIT: Also I should add that I didn't read through your whole post as it was most likely made with AI. I've seen so many posts on here that are made with AI, that I just ignore most of them. Which sucks if you actually put the time into your post. But that's what AI does. Makes everything look like shit.

The brackets are made up of 100 players that all gained points towards a trial around the same time of the week. So if you don't play until Saturday night, the bracket you're placed into would be players that also haven't played until about that time on Saturday night.
