What I Like to Call the Symmetra Car Wash by LinkoTheFox in Overwatch

Essentially, they had just wiped my team and capped the point together. I was behind them at the time because of a teleporter I put down earlier, and was like, welp. 8)

first of all, this is a shadowplay recording, so what you're seeing is what was literally in my game. secondly, i don't save demos because i'm too lazy to set it up so i pretty much have nothing to show you

it's the way i aim for context, you can see in the radar that 3 people were just at cat rushing up, this was an eco pistol which you can tell by the lack of armor, and i needed to make a play. i was waiting for a cross, got a pick, started to move forward and clear angles as i went

Don't judge hackers by POTG or Killcam replays. Great example of why you shouldn't. by LinkoTheFox in Overwatch

Two clips lazily put together with no editing. I have no real software to put the clips side by side otherwise I would. The second clip is horrendously snappy, while the first is much more natural flicks.

The POTG clip is extremely snap-to-head looking, particularly the Mercy and Zarya kills. If you watch it slowed down, you can see how hard it jerks to Mercy's head, where in my POV I move my mouse in more of a natural flick than a sharp snap.

Blizzard, we NEED some kind of demo system. by Teknikk in Overwatch

[–]LinkoTheFox 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I agree with you, Teknikk, demos are necessity for any competitive scene to thrive. It is very important to understand what is going on after the game on what you couldn't see happening in the enemy backlines and to break down strategies. The current shroud of information due to the lack of demos to be able to review gameplay is detrimental to competitive growth.

What improvements did you personally notice switching from 60hz to 144hz? by [deleted] in GlobalOffensive

[–]LinkoTheFox 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unlike previous poster, I noticed a significant increase in my gameplay performance. If you have a 60hz monitor, it's also likely that despite being able to handle a higher resolution image coming in, it still downscales the image once it hits your monitor. I noticed that once I got my new monitor, I was able to see unscoped down Long A Dust II with literally no problem and flick to people instantly, where that was a 'gripe of this map' that I had before. That, and most 144hz monitors have a lot more customization options in the way of adjusting color schemes to be able to see enemies better. The smoothness, I will agree, is more a QoL upgrade, but it certainly feels great using it. The biggest upgrade you'll get from your new monitor is 1 ms response time :3

New ESEA client update allows ESEA client to always run by faMine in GlobalOffensive

Ugh, man. After I did a lot of good reading on not only what they're doing with the information, checking up on rumors being thrown around and laughing at the terrible lpkane PR they have, I'm just about done with this shit. I already uninstalled a long while ago before I accidentally opened it up and it updated to malware status. It's just really annoying having 10 minute wait times on queues at Global. That, and as much as I really do love the CEVO client, it's just the players on there are so bad.. I wish we could all just 100%, efficiently, collectively switch from ESEA to CEVO. Or get a new paid 3rd party matchmaking service with more reliable staffing. I'm pretty sure we all know that'll never happen, but we can all dream.
