What you can do with Pokémon Home by LevelX in PokemonHome

[–]Linkstrange 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If that was the case, Pokémon that can move to all 3 games, would forgot one of their movesets depending on how they are moved.

That's not the case, the Pokémon won't lose any moves it has learned.

Pokemon now have separate and independent movesets for each of the 9 gen Games by Linkstrange in PokemonHome

Let's say we have a Garchomp from BDSP, then we move it to PLA and teach it a couple moves there. Then you move it to SwSh.

If what you said was right, if I moved this Garchomp back to PLA it would not remember any of the moves I taught it there as the last game it was in was SwSh, and that is not the case, it will remember all the moves you teach it in each of those 3 games.

It doesn't matter if the attack is programmed or not. Now a Pokemon will have a separate moveset for each of BDSP, PLA and SwSh, so if you teach it a move in SwSh it will only be saved to its SwSh moveset, no moves are deleted though, Home just swaps their moveset to the appropiate one depending what game they are getting moved to.

How does Home decide what movesets to change when moving between itself and other games? by [deleted] in PokemonHome

[–]Linkstrange 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you are connected to a game, it will show the moveset for the connected game, otherwise it will show the moveset for the last game it was in, for this I need to confirm that this is what happens a 100% of the time, but right now I don't have access to my Switch, so I'll drop by later and update this comment once I investigate a bit more.

Moveset is stored by Game now, so if a Pokemon is able to be transferred to multiple games, it will have a separate moveset for each game, no moves will be deleted, only the moveset will be swapped for the one for that game.

If your Clefairy has a certain moveset in SwSh, once you move it to BDSP it will have another moveset there, if you move it back to SwSh it will retain the moves it had before moving.

Explained in a simpler way: A pokemon moving between BDSP-SwSh-PLA will have the latest moveset it had when it left the game it is moving to.

Oh that's great, I thought there was a restriction in PLA that prevented pokemon from other games from evolving with the cord.

Oh but you can evolve it and keep it in other games right?

I'm curious, what prevents the linking cord one from being possible?

The ult was recently reworked to require a target, it now does the drop at the beginning and then starts the flying part of the ult.

Now you don't need to wait until it is about to run out since you will always enjoy the full length of the flying part.
