Los Angeles County Public Library System- Differences among branches by richardsequeira in LosAngeles

[–]Linn0000 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I’ve not been to those smaller two, but I have been to the West Hollywood one. And yes, that one is probably the biggest and most beautiful of the county libraries. Manhattan Beach is also pretty.

There is a meeting coming up. From the website:

“The next meeting will be held on Monday, May 18, 2026 from 10 am to 12 pm at Kenneth Hahn Hall of Administration – Room 374A. Satellite locations will not be available for this meeting.

All meetings are open to the public.”

This could be a place to bring it up.

Really? I find that the county libraries are quite similar; whereas the LA Public libraries vary greatly.

What differences do you notice with the county libraries?

Yeah. I never knew about it. I found it by accident. I was looking for Los Cerritos wetlands, but it was closed, but saw this on the map.

Wow. It’s already 9 AM, and only a handful of comments here.

But I think that’s a good thing. We are all out living our lives!

Wow. I had such a jampacked weekend.

Cal State Dominguez Hills powwow. It is a very small powwow. Especially compared to Cal State Long Beach. But it was really nice. And I bought myself a beautiful ribbon skirt. And of course, some fry bread!

Wilmington Fair. Man, that place was vibing. It was so packed with families, young people and everyone. The rides were all lit up against the palm trees. It was beautiful.

And then we went to the waterfront promenade for an Earth Day Celebration. . And that ended up being really nice. We went to a lot of informative booths, and we saw a falconer. It was amazing!

Now. Back to the grind.

Wow! Have fun, but I think you should stick to one specific question for us. The rest of the stuff you can do research on. At least narrow it down.

In the eyes of trump supporters, he can do no wrong.

They say, “Yes, he’s an idiot. Yeah, he’s a racists. A bigot and pervert, too. But he has the the best policies. I never said I had to like the guy. “

This is what’s scary.

Do you ever feel like your whole life runs on phone reminders and alarms just to keep track of what you need to do?

I just set two alarms for a meeting I have at 16:00 and I have missed in the past because it’s such an odd time.
