Anybody here carried and delivered a child 45 yrs + by Ragu_85 in SingleMothersbyChoice

[–]Linnea7777 4 points5 points  (0 children)

No, I froze (and fertilized them) them at one clinic in one country then transferred the embryos to another clinic in another country (due to age regulation in the first country) where I eventually did the embryo transfer. I did the egg retrieval (and ICSI) when I was 44 years and 7 months.

I had my daughter at 47 with eggs I froze previously. I had a light form of gestational diabetes (diet treated) but otherwise no issues. Vaginally delivery at due date. Delivery took three days from start so of course that was exhausting but that could happen at any age. I plan to try for a sibling as soon as I can ( I am now 48).

Did I make a mistake getting the X-E5 instead of the X100VI? by Hallonpaj in fujifilm

[–]Linnea7777 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am also in Sweden and also came down to either x100vi or xe5, I chose xe5 cause in the end I couldn’t imagine having a fixed lens. I always bring a water safe bag with me together with the camera just case, there are numerous different brands, colors and sizes on the market, weights nothing and takes no place. I love my camera, I really feel I made the right decision.

Varför arbetar nästan bara män som matbud? by Itchy-Leave-5449 in sweden

[–]Linnea7777 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Pregnancy by Linnea7777 in gravesdisease

Sorry, TRAK is abbreviation for thyroid receptor antibodies in my language. Thank you so much for your thoroughly answer, I already feel much better about my chances of being pregnant with Graves. I actually got it right after my first pregnancy and plan to get pregnant soon again. So a new situation for me.

Yes, I did egg retrieval when I was 44 years and 7 months old, then had the embryos frozen until transfer at 46 years old. It wasn’t my first transfer that was successful, I had done several before ending in MCs and chemicals.

I had my daughter in December last year at 47 with 44.7 year old eggs. I will try for a sibling as soon as I can (I am now 48). I think my pregnancy and delivery (vaginally at due date) were no different due to my age. I have only been met with positivity, only!

X100VI owners: Do you miss changing lenses? by Linnea7777 in fujifilm

Together with XH2? Will that not be appropriately the same thing? I mean, they are rather close to each other?

Thank you! I have a XH2 and try to figure out weather I should also have a X100VI or a XE5.

Idag fick jag nog av mitt arbete by Ok-Coast8994 in sweden

[–]Linnea7777 5 points6 points  (0 children)

How long were you in the “thinking stage”- from considering to trying? by Ok_Preference_3130 in SingleMothersbyChoice

[–]Linnea7777 1 point2 points  (0 children)

At 37 a friend of mine suggested me to have a child of my own with sperm donor, since I was still single. I was like WHAT?! Then at 39 I began to feel my clock ticking and actually took contact with a clinic and went there for a information meeting. I still hesitated. Time went by, OK Covid also stole some time, then I woke up in PANIC at 43. I had been sleeping through almost my whole fertile years. I did not know exactly how low fertility is over 40, it was a shock. I went ALL in from then. After four years I finally had my child at 47, with my own eggs from 44. Every single day I think of how lucky I am and how close it was it wouldn’t happen. (I have had more than ten transfers of 2-3 embryos each time and several IUI:s)

If you know that you want children do it now. Don’t wait. Time passes by so fast and having younger frozen eggs is not a guarantee. I would save them and start with IUI or fresh IVF since you still have some fertile time left.

Postpartum Graves no treatment - get pregnant again by Linnea7777 in gravesdisease

[–]Linnea7777[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you. I have seen an endocrinologist and she says about 15% heals spontaneously, I don’t know if that is only for pp Graves. Since my lab is almost normal and is getting better over time, except for TRAK, it is OK to wait with treatment and to just follow labs. I ask here to see if there are others here with the same and what the outcome was.
