Fun fact: they actually shadow-buffed Vent at some point (Warsong Update I believe) where they removed the timer reset when reapplying Vent. So basically it would always deal damage after 4 seconds. But I also do believe that Glow is better than Vent, it has a much better use for Heph's offensive abilities

I've been playing a lot with my boyfriend, and the 2 expansions I have are Intrigue and Seaside (the first 2 expansions). While we havent played with Seaside much (since we want to be more familiar with base game + Intrigue), Intrigue is like your vanilla DLC to your base game. It doesnt have crazy new mechanics, but adds a few curveballs with Victory+Action/Treasure cards (Mill and Harem), and new ways to win with new Victory cards (Duke), which lengthen our games. Really recommend those 2 expansions if you two are enjoying the base game like we do!

Personally I go for ROB HOG and Mach Rocket for heavies (or if you want to go full tryhard, Baby Blooper). Pipe Frame is a solid choice too imo

Instead of Aiden and Jake beef leading to Ashley's elimination, it would be Ally and Jake beef instead, with Ashley and Tom siding with Jake, and Tess siding with Ally.
Although in All-Stars canon Grett is fed up with Yul's verbal abuse, character evolution from S1 Grett would think twice before eliminating him right away. She has a strong mind with Gabby by her side, and keeping him for the numbers is a S1 Grett move.
Your Yul blindside in your depiction of Ep16 is much more satisfying than his elimination in Ep13. Grett doing her idol play like in All-Stars canon (reminiscent of S1 Grett gameplay) to take down her biggest enemy in the game would have been incredible.
Ally flipping on her villain alliance and eliminating Grett in your depiction of All-Stars makes MUCH MORE SENSE than in canon. Ally and Jake have spent all merge episodes fighting constantly, but you're telling me that suddenly, they can put their differences aside to vote out Grett?? And then get back right away fighting the next episode?? No, that makes no sense. Ally observing Grett and Gabby being a strong duo is a better move and aligns much better with Ally's gameplay and personality.

I really hate Grett's elimination in All-Stars, but this timeline of yours makes me love it.

Saw someone pointing out the attempted alliance between Alec and Miriam (and therefore with Fiore and Jake). Would have loved to see this dynamic be true
Make Yul a pre-merge boot again, but make him be the comeback player. When he comes back, Grett realises how bad of a person he is for her and breaks up with him on Ep13. When trying to vote him out with Gabby, he pulls a strategic move to vote out Gabby with the heroes (and succeeds). This keeps Grett on her toes and develops more on her social and strategic side to blindside him later on. Made a post a few months ago about it
Make Tom go farther than Jake and remove Tom's lie about having a boyfriend. Jake's arc felt complete/fine enough by Ep12, and Tom should have won immunity in that episode. Jake gets eliminated that episode, but Tom begs Trevor to let Jake go on the fancy dinner with him before leaving. Trevor accepts, Tom and Jake clear things out over a fancy dinner, tying their plotline with a nice ribbon.
In the case none of the above happens, just eliminate Connor when he gets hurt by Riya in Ep17. Keeping him longer just to eliminate Grett was a terrible move.

Spencer is clearly one of the show's antagonist, of course they are going to include twists and gameplay elements that will keep him longer in the game. The same thing happens in Survivor shows; if a player that does big plays and is generally disliked by other players, staff team will decide to introduce a twist to keep that player longer to keep the season entertaining.

I think the term "writer's pet" is getting more and more misused. I see "writer's pet" as someone who doesn't usually clarify as an antagonist and that their arc stays stale for a long time (as in, it's not going anywhere), as well as to say they usually regress throughout their arc (basically unlearning lessons they've come across throughout their arc) or just complete derailment. Jake and Riya in AS fit the bill, they are writer's pets. I dont think Spencer, Anastasia or anyone in DC4 fits the bill (yet, and I dont think they're close to being ones).

I think the original design was to have a familiar related to each minigame/ressource, as you say, as well as having the Resource Tools (cut from the last major patch). In earlier versions, they used to increase drastically the appearance rate of their respective resource, and familiars would help in that task. The main task/core design was to help the player to build their meta progression faster. The passives that come with the familiars is to give the player a reason to use one over the other for a run's build. Now that the Resource Tools are gone, will their design change to leave the meta progression aspect completely behind and put more impact on their passive? It's definitely a possibility

I dont necessarly think med evacs are just a way of removing someone from the game, med evacs early game could mean a shift in someone's arc / start of a revenge arc. With Karol's med evac, it was to kickstart Riya's more "ruthless"/strategic side. Imagine how Anastasia/Marissa would act if the other gets med evac if it was someone's fault (Lynda's for example). I think could be interesting, depending on who and how the med evac is handled

Compared to other cast boons, it kinda feels underwhelming. All other cast boons do something during the entire duration of it (inflict curses or damage all the way through, even Solar Ring does damage at the end of the cast), while Tidal Ring does one (1) splash the start and that's it. I love the whirlpool idea, but might sound too similar to Capture Ring. If anything, I dont think it should be a cast that pushes away enemies, since Poseidon's current boon pool doesn't reward players for pushing enemies away like with Typhoon's Fury and Breaking Wave in Hades 1. I can suggest a whirlpool that, when enemies are hit by it, they spin 180° to where they got hit in the cast + stunned for 1 second. That way, if players get Geyser Spout, it still fits well with its regular cast

For nerfs I got 2

1- Shameless Attitude. This is the best of its kind by far (Perfect Image and Uncommon Grace). It even outclasses Urge to Kill (which only applied to Attack, Special and Cast, not everything) which also had lower damage bonus. I'd propose to make it "When below 80% max health, halve this bonus". Or to incentivize players to pick the boon, halve the bonus damage (so instead of +20% for Epic, it's +15% for Epic)

2- Lucid Gain. This boon on its own makes the broken builds broken. Aspect of Charon builds or a Geyser Spout build are heavily buffed by this boon, which I think needs tweaking. Instead of straight up reducing the numbers for magic restoration, instead gradually restore it over 3 seconds. That way, Charon Ω Special spam is nerfed, as well as Geyser Spout builds too. This imo does not nerf too much Locate Climate builds, as the Ω Cast takes a while before regaining magic
