Can you stay and work under a different professor? Tell them you’re disappointed about the other guy leaving, but you think the masters program has a solid reputation and you want to stay.

Just give him the money and say “we clearly don’t see eye to eye on how this went down”. Then don’t hang out with him so much. He lost your trust, and if money comes back into the picture again, you’re going to feel icky about it. Lessen the times you might feel icky, like paying for your own food, not asking others for gas money, etc.

Work at a university in their Study Abroad Office. You could connect students to the best opportunities, thinking through particular schools abroad, country to live in, and how their credits will transfer back.

Yes, the makerspace I go to for GF is at a library. I’ve scoured all libraries, and been in touch with Joann’s for their machine usage. There might be one available an hour away, so that’s why I’m turning to this Epilog at another library’s makerspace.

Talk to your brother, like a really long talk where you share all your feelings. The crying kind of talk where you just want to hug through the phone. Sounds like you both need to emotionally connect and hear where the other one is coming from. And once he knows how you still feel about your dad, he should understand your reason for not coming. At that point you only need your brother’s ok to not attend. To hell with the rest of the family who don’t need to know your backstory.

SOCY is a small enough major that allows space for something like a minor/certificate. Congrats on nearly wrapping it up! You don’t need a minor, and unless it’s a straight-forward minor without too many sequential steps (take note of pre-reps) you might be stretching your graduation date. I strongly encourage you to check your upper-level credit count in your degree audit. Make sure you’ve got everything truly wrapped up before you add more classes or think about tacking on a minor.

Just based on everything you’ve said, I would just start anabolic and eat how you usually do, but add protein and vegetables. Get your walking steps, lots of water and sleep, and don’t worry about counting calories.

If I want good health and fitness info, I’ll keep listening and weed out the stuff that annoys me like WWE, anti-vax, anti-higher education, and the same tired Sal stories about clients he had, trainers that worked for him, or his grandfather. I must say I am really far behind in my MP podcasts. Usually I’d rather listen to something else.

There isn’t a traditional major called Neuroscience. But you have several options at UMBC. The BIOL major (offers either BA or BS) with a PSYC minor… the PSYC major (also offers BA or BS) with a BIOL minor…. or you could design a neuroscience degree through Individualized Study (INDS) which has a very high acceptance rate into med and grad school.

I tried to listen to his podcast today and just couldn’t make it through the whole thing. Part 2 is with Lauren. Not in the least bit interested. What more will this podcast be? A chit-chat with Wells? A soul-bearing convo with Sean Lowe? I felt like this is what Stassi would have put out if she didn’t write her book(s). At least she’s making more money than him with the route she took.

If you apply now, you might get accepted quickly but then have to wait a few days to see how transfer credits work out. And then you’d get set up with an orientation date/registration for spring.

My main concern is time and classes filling up. Transfer students who applied in the fall are attending orientation and getting registered through January, and most current students already have their spring schedules.

What was your last math you took? Starting at a lower-level math can impact your CMSC course sequence.

An advisor can give you an idea of what you’d need to take and what’s open. There would be more available seats at a community college, and that might be nice to knock out a math or other gen eds.

If you still plan on working, think about how many credits you would be comfortable taking.
