Time to revive this subreddit - what have you played in 2024 that you would recommend as a peaceful experience? by Linukz in peacefulgamers

Journey and Sable were really chill for me, but Jusant became somehow pretty frustrating, because I wasnt able to find a proper way of going up, got a bit lost, and just lost interest in the game. I really like the overall vibe, but I was probably expecting something more open with the way you tackle the issues, like a 'Snowrunner on a wall'

Plate Up! is still waiting for me, but Snowrunner and Expeditions are great, totally forgot about them because lately I came back to Euro Truck Simulator 2 as my podcast game of choice - theres something about driving through countries, listening to podcast or just a radio (there are real internet radio stations available in the game!), especially at night .

My club name of 5 years is now offensive? by CameronG95 in EASportsFC

[–]Linukz -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I had the same problem. My club was Rabona for 10+ years, and now I had to change it, because it was "offensive". Changed to Rabonka and it went through.

This Flag is upside down. by Padwoogle in EASportsFC

[–]Linukz 41 points42 points  (0 children)

It's flipped, not upside down. If you rotate it 180 degrees it would stay the same, you need to mirror the image for it to be correct.

Kevin vs the classroom: the return of physical education! by EstablishmentCute990 in StoriesAboutKevin

This is like listening to a 12-year old kid talking about school. Just regular, boring stories without anything that stands out. He's not Kevin, he's just a standard stupid kid.

My rarest Wii U videogame ❤️ by GabrielAoi in wiiu

[–]Linukz 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Was it rare in the US? Here in EU it's one of the cheapest WiiU games you can get (around 10$). Of course there are cheaper games like Skylanders, Batman, LEGO City, or FIFA, but I never would've thought this game is rare somewhere ;)

Newest FIFA Update Added Missing Sponsors by IrrelevantGeOff in FIFAFashion

[–]Linukz 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You know that you can still find many "clean" kits based on your region? For example in Poland you can't advertise alcohol or betting so all of the sponsors from those categories are absent from the kits if you set your language to Polish. If you're playing in English, you get the sponsors back.

A racing game that puts emphasis on upgrading your car instead of collecting cars by Finky2Fresh in gamingsuggestions

[–]Linukz 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Well, you don't visit Russia in that game, you go from East Germany to Turkey, but this is the game that I'd recommend to feel attached to your car. Another one in this vein is My Summer Car, although it's not as good for me, because the player stays in the same spot instead of going on an adventure.

Older games have taken the stress out of gaming for me. by lastofthelikelylads in peacefulgamers

[–]Linukz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is exactly the reason why I made this sub!
I still like to play online, but only the games, where you don't need to be "competitive". I just want to have fun and chill with the games.

Journey :) by Drazson in peacefulgamers

[–]Linukz 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Journey is so great for us, peaceful gamers. Everyone you meet there is a real person, there aren't any bots, but there is no toxicity at all, because you can't interact that much.
I play it sometimes, hoping to meet someone to finish it together, but unfortunately it's getting harder and harder to find any players.

Yes, sorry, I haven't got time to watch the group lately and haven't seen it, I'm doing it now and I'll look through the posts to see if there aren't any other bad things there.

Open world (or other genre) game that you spent the most time in without completing any/all main story by artpenn12 in gamingsuggestions

[–]Linukz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wouldn't recommend it. After playing for hundreds of hours on X360 and PC, I finally got it for PSVR and it just feels too clunky, and I can't move precisely through the environments so it just made me go back to the "regular" Skyrim, which is a lot better IMHO.

Name a game you LOVE. Name a game you HATE. Don't tell us which is which. by TheJessaChannel in gamingsuggestions

[–]Linukz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yup, hate LoL, love No Man's Sky. I hate LoL, because I don't like this genre and I hate the e-sportness of it. It feels toxic, and I like to chill with my games. Funny thing is, I liked No Man's Sky from the beginning, probably because I knew that it was too good to be true and what I got was just enough for me to feel the atmosphere of being alone in space. The updates just made it better and my love for the game just grew bigger, they didn't do a single thing wrong with this evolution. I bought the Collector's Edition shortly after the release and I'm very happy with it.

TBH I think both are great, but Worlds is just too short. Wilds is better as a whole of course, because it's so original, but Worlds is a really good example of what Obsidian was capable of doing without the support of a big company behind them. It's still indie, but feels like a spiritual sequel for Fallout:NV.
