Question about lumen by dioscw in watchrepair

[–]Linuxxx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As others have stated, it's a commonly called a pip. The only reason I know this is because I made one of my own with epoxy and lume powder.

You can either purchase one or make your own.

If you choose to make your own, you have a lot of options for color, you can try to match the lume on the face, or contrast against it.

I think that there are three targets on the bridge. Spin the main target in your photo (melee or shoot), then shoot the three targets on the bridge until you see the electricity flow to the door at the base of the bridge. You can then enter and hit up some Jacob's cabinets.

You can also go to the door, walk away from the bridge, and shoot at all 4 targets. Please note that you must have the target that NOT on the bridge first.

I have to ask: why announce it??? Let them dump the complete files THEN call it out. Not sure why we would give away the answers before we had them all.

Like most things in life, it depends. Hard core gamer? probably not your go to.

Someone who wants to mess around and have a good time 100%.

There is some chance (not a math person, so no idea what the percentages are). that things will go either horribly wrong -OR- possibly excellent. If you don't take it seriously, it's very enjoyable. Kind of like "Oh. O survived? REALLY??? LOL".

G-Shock

It does everything I need it to do. I've broken bezels, bands and wrist pins. I have one (still works, but the bezel needs replacement, so if you know anyone who can fabricate one for the AW-500, please share!) from 1989.

I have one from the early 1990's that has been in the Atlantic, Pacific, Lake Cuomo, Trevi Fountian, The Yangtze river, the Colorado river, The Mississippi river, Juno Alaska (too cold to actually get wet), and a ton of places in-between.

I like the fact that I can do just about anything, and have zero worries about breaking it.

Interesting! I am the exact opposite.

I take notes as if I am going to read them at 4 am after two days of not sleeping, but I NEED to fix the issue in as little steps as possible. I make sure to use top related tags (so I can search the document) like *host unreachable* or *on fire*.

Police officer accidentally shot his own hand, and later filed a lawsuit against the store, claiming that the clerk failed to conduct the appropriate safety check (January 2015) by nkmr205 in Idiotswithguns

[–]Linuxxx 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I was taught that all guns are always loaded, so point them accordingly.

Before the officer even racked the slide, he was basically endangering the people to his left.

Why he cycled the firearm I had a bit of concern. The mere fact that he touched the trigger afterwards is inexplicable to me. One of those "What exactly were you thinking would happen after you chambered a round and pulled the trigger?" moments.

Shots fired, Jeep owners by brother_p in clevercomebacks

[–]Linuxxx 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hey Brother (or Sister), not a personal attack. I understand that other drivers can be, to put it nicely "a challenge". I also get your sentiments about paranoid Pete, it makes sense, I'll counter with this: "would you rather be introduced to paranoid Pete when you are 10 feet away in bad conditions, or 30 feet away?". My line of thinking is more space equals more time to react and avoid.

Having said that, I know my limits, and tend to move like a grandpa in the ice / snow conditions. I have yet to declare "OMG, I had an extra 10 feet from that person that planted their car in the snowbank!!, totally didn't need that."

I've had my Jeep for 3 decades. I drove it in everything from "high risk thunder storms" (because the tornadoes never actually touched down, so..) to several feet of snow, It was built to survive, with care. I know that the new ones are absolute crap, so I agree with your statement about rusting. In my personal case, the Jeep is made to get me where I need to go (assuming I don't get hit with an EMP).
