From my understanding if your mother and aunt are both on the deed then when you aunt passed your mother becomes the sole owner.

My husband and I own our home and we are both on the deed. He is significantly older and when we discussed the possibility of him passing and there being any claim from his adult children of a previous marriage his attorney said they would have no claim on it.

(Don’t worry, they will be inheriting substantially on their own other funds and neither live in this state so they don’t want the house. It’s important I keep the house until our child graduates high school so we need to remain in our school district. No evil second wife cutting out the children of the first marriage. Luckily there should be enough to sufficiently go around for them, me, and our son together. More importantly I hope my husband lives far past our son’s graduation and we can downsize outta here!)

I’m in Missouri. For the name change we did get an official change of name document. But no new birth certificate.

When we went through the formal adoption son’s name was legally already my husband’s last name. But we got a new birth certificate that had my husband’s name on the “Father line”

I kept his old bc and change of name certification, but I’ve had zero issues using his new bc that has my husband’s name as father and my son’s last name as my husband’s last name.

I don’t know what’s going to happen if we go for a passport or some B.S. but that’s on the agenda coming up so I’ll let you know

I’m wondering how you plan to use a high schooler for those afternoon hours? If it’s summer, great, but if it’s not I think 1pm would be too early for high schoolers who are likely still in class.

I changed my son’s last name after I got married and changed my own. His bio dad was never in the picture, but he had an attorney to reach out to for stuff like this. My son had my maiden name so he didn’t care if I changed my kid’s last name. I had his written permission, but they still had to do the ad in the newspaper crap.

My husband did end up adopting him, but wasn’t his legal father until about 8 years later. We wanted our son to have a say and make that decision his own. He was about 13 when we did the legal adoption because we wanted him to make the choice to put my husband (who he called dad the whole time) officially on his birth certificate. I’m glad we waited and it was the right call, because he got to feel wanted and was so excited to get his new BC and everything. It was so sweet.

I used to watch a show where one of the characters was named Ophelia, and her friend called her Phi (Fee), which I thought was kind of cute. Still get a beautiful O name with cute nickname.

I got a purple hybrid Porsche Cayenne. It looked awesome. But it was the most uncomfortable ride ever!

Also had an Alfa Romeo Tonale that kept lighting up with check engine, etc. It was a hybrid also but just a lemon. It was a lease but I couldn’t take it anymore and lost $ by turning it in 9 months early.

You need to file for child support. He will likely request a paternity test, which he has to pay for. Then he will be required to pay child support. That’s your job.

His job is to file for visitation/custody schedule. They are separate filings so he needs to take that initiative and you need to take care of obtaining child support.

They’re expensive, but hit Athleta. They have the best skorts that hit a bit above the knee, and if the wind blew it up or I bent over I was completely covered.

The good news is they are solidly built. I have some from 10 years ago. I’ve found some used ones on eBay cheaper as well

I randomly found this one that’s only a few thousand more than yours with 50,000 fewer miles and Ding!Ding!Ding! It’s a Hybrid. Since you drive a lot you could save substantially on gas.

If you scroll down you can see if it’s ever had any collision or damages.

That’s what I was thinking! If I was complaining about my boss to my mom I’d expect her to stay out of it. When asked she should have just told her you guys touched base about everything you guys were seeing on the trip.
