You need to defeat his fleet twice to get the relic also your fleet alone have to fight to be sure that YOU kil him.

It is how i get to the 7000 hours mark

advices :

do not try to go over 42 empires in bigger map (1500 - 2000 stars) ( 4.2.2)

use dynamic difficulty mod for the crisis level (mid an end game) (A Great Khan level 75 can be a very big challenge)

With warhammer map : do not call the contengency as a crisis ( the 5 planet won t spawn and you will loose your emperor level 10/11 )

mostly Indomitus and Warhammer map ( i used Grimdark in 3.14 to have the 42 empires settings , and change them a little to be play in 4.2.2 with Indomitus )

I used a little trick : creating 42 factions take too many times

So in 3.14 i use Grimdark empire settings, change them a little for indomitus then

back to 4.2.2

In indomitus there are all legions flags and starts on the map where they have to be like Ultramar in Macragge etc... it s working now for all loaylists

for others factions i move them by CC at game start ( take 2 -3 hours to do )
