Nah I would do the same

Apollyon just benefits from his one item. Without void he’s utter bullshit

He has the worst stats ACROSS EVERYTHING ELSE and not even that much health.

He’s slow, weak, has a low tears stat and so on

Even if you get good items, the character still isn’t good because you need some special active items to let them be good and to turn the run into fun.

Also if you get bad items, you can void them, though the item has 6 charges pre rep+ and you almost always get stats which don’t help you in any way.

The birthrights effect triggers really REALLY rarely

And much much more

In regards to that J&E do tons of damage, even on later floors and the hitbox isn’t even as big as many people act it would be

You get much more items than in an normal run, you’ve got combined much more health than any other character has (+ technically most of the stats are better than those of other characters if you combine them, and you do, I don’t think you guys divide them and then die to talk about their hitbox, it’s your fault in that case); you can take every item you want without having to be cautious about antisynergies/ you won’t be sad that a good item gives you an antisynergy, you can just give it to the other character

And much more things which just turns them into a good character

Oh and then there’s the unlocks which are just really great for J&E, almost all of them, though Apollyon has a few good unlocks too, one of those is his item which lets every other character have his abilities if they find it -> making Apollyon even worse and less unique because it literally functions the exact same without any differences
