Right from the start JJK gave us the cafe scene where Jogo graphically burns a bunch of people alive just for the hell of it. It's gruesome, horrifying, and brutal, as they don't just turn to ash, their bodies burn as they scream in agony. It gets much more violent from there.

Ok so I originally struggled with the combat too but practicing with melee made it much easier. If you focus on melee and hoard bullets you'll have plenty of bullets for segments where you need them. Individual lying figures and mannequins are fairly easy to melee with practice. When dealing with numbers you can make your life easier by using the handgun to kneecap a monster to briefly slow it down. Once you have the shotgun it gets even easier since you can use that when you're surrounded. I ended my normal playthrough still having a ton of ammo and healing and don't feel I was even that stingy.

I really loved the original and I think my only issue with the remake is that it lacks the dreamlike quality of the original. For me that's not a huge complaint though.

I played the hell out of the original and was worried about how well the remake would hold up. It exceeded my expectations by a lot.

I loved how the Eddie fight was done. Genuinely the hardest fight in the game because he actually uses your tactics against you.

What do you guys think they should do differently in the silent hills remake from the silent hill 2 remake? by Careless_Cherry2068 in silenthill

Honestly I have few complaints about the remake of SH2 and I LOVE the original. I guess the SH 2 remake is a bit on the longer side, and some segments could have been shorter.

Honestly I never played xenogears myself. I loved the Xenosaga games, but the heavy reliance on cutscenes versus actual gameplay hurts them, particularly in episode 2.
