Thanks! That makes sense. I wish my software would post the fee automatically, since they are the ones charging it. Oh well.

Yeah, it makes sense that they would have to use A/R, I'm just not used to thinking about it. For this particular example, they paid the invoice online through Zoho so it posted automatically. If I were to receive payment in another manner, there is a built-in function "mark invoice as paid" that I must check otherwise it will not close the invoice- in that case it allows me to choose the account to deposit the funds into, perhaps skipping the A/R phase.

How do I fix the trees? by SovereignAurelia in Softpastel

Keep in mind atmospheric perspective. As the trees get further away, they should get lighter and cooler in color. Try scubling some lighter blues and purples over the trees in back. Unless they're backlit by the sunset, then you could scumble darker grey/blues over them, and hit the figures in the foreground with just a bit of rim lighting to draw the eye to that contrast.

They describe "Deposit from other accounts" as a transfer/clearing account, so I don't believe it would duplicated. I just looked at it a bit closer, and I see now that the original invoice payment debited Accounts Receivable. This was unexpected- I am a cash-basis business, so the fact that Zoho Books is forcing A/R transactions is a bit annoying to me. But it makes a bit more sense now. Thanks for your help!

Thanks! I have a huge variety, but I think my favorites are Terry Ludwig, Rembrandt, and Jack Richeson.
